We've had this tent for approx 4 years and have used it at least once a year and we love it. Yes it does take a while to put up but we have got it down to a fine art - the extra ropes and pegs mean that we have never had a problem in wind or rain. There only two of us that use the tent so we use the two smaller bedrooms for storage, the main room of the tent is an excellent size and my very tall partner is able to stand up in it!

We've had this tent for 4 years now and we love it. I agree that there are far too many guy ropes, but it is fantastically sturdy in strong winds. Obviously it's a pain to put up if it's raining, but the benefit of it being the old fashioned inner tent first is the extra warmth it offers. Think I need to get the groundsheet seems re waterproofed for the first time this year as they felt a little soggy. Only bad thing is that there's no place to cook on a soggy day as the front porch doesn't offer any protection.
Still a great tent and we LOVE it!

Bought this tent last month, it is fantastic, we have had four tents before this however I love this one.
The back door feature is excellent especially with our dogs as we don't have to walk them through the living area of the tent when they are muddy and wet. There is plenty of room in the bedrooms and the living area is great. I agree there is a lot of pegging down to do however don't let this put you off.
All in all a great tent

I agree with other reviews, fantastic space inside and fairly sturdy but too many ropes to peg out. We used ours about 5 times last year and got the erect time down to about 50 mins, if it had less ropes to peg out then I think that time could be reduced to about 30 mins!
Stayed watertight in a torrential downpour and storm too!

Had this tent for one season. Fantastic design, but seams were poor, started to come unstuck during first use and it wasnt even windy. Also too much pegging down and too many guy ropes. Takes 2 minutes to erect but an hour to peg out. Think this one must have been faulty because we have had other sunncamp tents and not had any problems.

The Tourist 600 is greatly redesigned for 2006. Still retaining it's 3 bedrooms but now with X flex poles and Aluminium uprights it has more headroom than ever. The large meshed windows and sewn in groundsheet help to keep the living area bug free and maintain ventilation.
