Nice tent inside that cant be faulted , however the front awning is not the best idea Vango have had. Already have had to replace front awning pole twice any strong winds then take it down. Rain just gathers in the middle of awning and extra weight warps the poles. A little more substance on the sides would make it a better design , shame really as tent is easy to put up and pack away

We have just returned from The Shetland Islands using this tent for the first time. It was quite windy (one report said 50 mph gusts) although the tent flapped about it stood up to these winds and subsequent 10-30 mph gusts.

Pros - big windows, sewn in ground sheet. Huge bed pod allowing loads of room with just 2 people. Very easy to erect.

Stood up to high winds and rain.

Cons - a bit awkward to unzip the fly sheet and then the door. It would be handy to have one zipped to the other.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Great for the two of us

After 4 trips so far in the 18 months we've owned our impressions are very positive.

Pros: Easy to pitch, (the colour coded sleeves look the same to me, but the poles that are grey in the middle are for the back and front the other 2 are for the middle and the canopy) The canopy is great for cooking under or for sitting under in high sun. Last three trips have been quite windy but the canopy withstood this no problem at all. The tension band system ( which we leave deployed all the time do a fantastic job of keeping everything stable. The inner tent fiddly to put in but once in is left in place so you only have to do it once unless you need more room (we don't only the 2 of us) we've had some really wet weather the last couple of trips but so far we've been dry and the canopy means we can at least get in and out of the tent without getting the inside of the tent wet. I also have a couple of bivi poles to hold the side door up if needed as it has eyelets on the door. Plenty of headroom I'm almost 6 foot and still got plenty of growing room lol

Cons: Only one there are no storage pockets in the main part of the tent a problem which we overcome with a couple of small crates with lids. Also the light hanger is right outside the inner tent would be better a few inches forward of this

Overall very pleased with this tent, has stood up to the worst of British summer time a 10 out of 10 for that, 1 star deducted for the cons mentioned above

Excellent tent.

Pros: easy to set up (very easy to thread through because the sleeves aren't so long) - the poles are clipped onto the poles afterwards; canopy is perfect for providing shelter against rain and sun. If it does rain you can still enjoy looking outside as the canopy does a perfect job for rain protection; very large window for living area.

Con: whilst there is ample storage pouches in the bedroom there are none in the living area.

We found that the canopy did not flap about in the wind. We did have one windy night but the canopy caused us no problems.

Overall, highly recommended.

Tip: when setting up the tent the instructions say that the poles are colour coded. Whilst 2 of the poles are grey in the middle I found that all the sleeves were the same colour. However all the poles are the same length and so we threaded the poles in any of the sleeves and still had no problem putting it up.

Have just used this tent in the New Forest for a 5 day break.It is a superb tent.Very quick to pitch and pack away.The bag fitted no problem.We had some days of high wind and quite a bit of rain and the tent had no problem coping with it.We even used the pegs supplied with the Vango Calder which are usually rubbish ,but these held the tent well and they were very easy to get out of the ground at the end of the trip.The only thing that was a pain to get apart were the badly designed clips that secure the sleeping area to the little orange triangles,(luckily we packed that away the night before we left).Tension band system was great.Cannot wait to use this tent again sometime in the next year.

We've just started season 2 with this super tent, which we use for weekends when we want a bit of space. We already own a bigger tent for longer trips but wanted something smaller to pack and quicker to pitch. What a good choice! Decent sleeping area for 4, good lounging space for 4 and height to stand properly. The integrated canopy is brilliant for shelter & shade. We've only knocked a couple of marks off 1) the clips holding the sleeping area are a bit flimsy (although all still intact) and 2) the canopy can get a bit flappy in anything more than a medium wind, although you can roll it up and redeploy it when things calm down. In normal circumstances the canopy does prevent rain pouring in the sloping face of the door, which many similar shaped tents suffer from. TBS does increase stability in higher winds.
