5 Reviews of the Venture 600 DLX

Quick and easy to put up and take down. Fabric is hard-wearing. This is basically a standard dome and porch tent scaled up to accommodate two pods rather than the one. Scaling the porch up means that it is bigger than just a storage area you can actually stand in it and have a small amount of furniture.
Like all tents though you can subtract a couple of berths for comfortable camping. Ideal tent for a long weekend for a family of four. No longer and no more people.

I know this tent has been discontinued, but my comments are relevant to other tents with features in common.
Ours has withstood many torrential downpours and has not leaked, except where water has come in under the rather inadequate flaps.
The problem with the design of the 3 doors is the slope - there is no way of opening any of the doors without letting water which is pouring down from the roof into the porch area. Also, it is important to tray and pitch it with it's back to the wind - we just had a hair raising night in a howling gale because the wind was coming on the rather flimsy structure of the porch area side-on. At times it buckled right down.
Good to have high sleeping pods, because it is good to be able to stand up when getting dressed.
I can put this tent up on my own with no trouble, but in future would buy a tent where the poles go through shorter 'loop' style tubes - there is a lot of tedious threading here.
Has done us proud, though - a good size for a v small family who don't want a huge sprawling tent.

Owned one for 6 years and still using the same tent today, would highly recommend this tent to anyone for long weekends or holiday if a porch extension is used.
Bedrooms are tall enough to stand and get changed in, a double air bed will fit with room for bags.
Good ventilation from 3 vents that can be open or closed easily.
Two good sized windows with curtains and skylight in the roof.
There are 3 doors although the front door isn't really usable in wet weather.
This is a good all round tent for new comers to camping or veterans alike.

Easy tent to put up by yourself.
Recommend for no more than 2 adults and 2 kids for a weekend. We used it with our day tent and sun canopy (enabled us to use the big door without letting all the rain in but did mean the side doors were out of action).
In the wind the door flaps at the bottom and also let the rain water in but this might have been our pitch.
Bedrooms big enough for a double airbed and small amount of spare room.
Plenty of room in porch for shoes but with the 4 of us we needed the day tent as kitchen/sitting area.

Nice tent for couples ,why couples ? because the 'living' room is small.
It looks big when its empty but get a table and two chairs in and its pretty tight.
The overall fabric is good and its well made and with its central roof window (sky tv we call it) its light.
Has the advantage of three doors so ones always out of the wind but their small mud flap blows in in the rain .
Bedrooms are very roomy but I would recommend 4 people at most in the tent as I'm sure to get more in you would have to know each other VERY well!
Easy to erect even in wind and stands up to it as well if the dome is facing it.
A good weekend tent.
