I bought a pre-owned Elvire a couple of years ago. A typical 4 berth frame tent from, I would guess, the 80s.
The steel poles were largely in two sections. This made erection of the tent easier and quicker but it did make the two sections rather heavy (for me at least - a woman in her mid seventies!)
Lovely thick cotton canvas with only slightly thinner cotton used for the inner bedroom (Mine only had one) which has a sewn-in rubber groundsheet. Separate groundsheet for the living area.
Only one window unfortunately, on the right hand side, which had a mozzy-net and roll-up screen.
I would have kept this tent except for the fact that I hurt my back carrying the pole bag, and also found the canvas heavy to lift onto the frame. A lovely tent once set up thought, ideal for a couple; described as a four berth but would be more comfortable with just two of you.
Stood up well to the strong winds I experienced when camping in it.
