1 Reviews of the Mercury
By: Lesmark Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2011 Rating:
We used this for the first time after second hand purchase in very wet field. It was great! Easy to put up, waterproof, rock steady in wind! Canvas very quiet in wind, and cool in what Sun we had. Usual excellent cabanon quality. We bought the no kitchen version as we find them too heavy (getting on a bit!) Used two Outwell Padres very nice!

Manufacturer's Description
The Cabanon Mercury is a good size trailer tent, the interior living area measures 4.4m x 3.5m, it also has a 2m integral sun canopy with built in wind breakers.
The trailer tent can sleep 4-8 people with the optional underbed tents. Inside the cabin area there are two double beds which both have a slatted bed base. Headroom inside the cabin is excellent, this is very important if you are tall and is an excellent advantage when getting dressed in the morning.
Awning & Sun Canopy The Mercury awning is a large area with a zip in groundsheet, the complete frame is only 4 arch poles so is very quick and easy to put up. The awning has a specific kitchen area with a vertical wall, it is so the kitchen unit can sit further over to the edge of the groundsheet, this gives you more room inside the living area by about 30cm. The kitchen panel has a large window and also a mesh panel for ventilation. The awning has a built in sun canopy with wind breakers for keeping you protected in inclement weather, you can also extend further with another sun canopy which will zip on and is again supported with an arched pole.
Deluxe Kitchen The deluxe kitchen (DL) is a option on the Mercury, it attaches to the rear of the trailer and includes all road lights fitted into the door. The kitchen unit has a built in sink, 2 burners and a grill, there is also plenty of storage space for your cooking equipment.
Trailer The trailer without brakes fitted has a gross weight of only 750kg in total, this gives you around 420kg of payload for all your camping equipment, more than enough and can still be towed with almost any vehicle. Wind down steady legs are as standard as are a spare wheel and jockey wheel.
