Actually, I now own 2 of them

Anyway, a couple of things to watch out for.

Firstly, the bedrooms are not a good fit for the space they are meant to fill. The hangers that suspend the bedroom are too tight. The bedrooms have an adjustable buckle on the top of the bedroom front and the bottom of the bedroom front. Putting any tension on those adjustable hangers leads to the inner tent tearing away from it's suspension loops.

The opening that the inner tent hangs from the beam, is too big for the inner tent. The elasticated hangers put so much tension on the bedrooms that it tears itself away at the hanging points on the bedrooms.

If you do have this tent, I suggest you buy some elasticated extensions (readily available on eBay), these extensions take the tension off the inner tent and avoids it being ripped.

Put up time is about 15 mins.

We have owned our Horizon 400 nightfall tent for over a year and have been away with it for 3 one week holidays, we also have the side porch which really is useful.The tent is really nice easy to put up. We came back from a week in Wales on 26 July 24, it rained quite a bit and the tent was perfect. Sadly, even though there are only two of us the wife and I we have outgrown the tent because we have so much stuff.

I have been and bought a Outdoor Revolution Kalahara 7.0 PC so we have a lot of extra space we will use this new tent in September and will let you know how it goes. If two people with not a lot of gear the Horizon 400 is a great tent but still takes a large space up.

On offer at 399.00 I thought it was too good to be true. The spec on the tent looked incredible, and there are some really great features:

Front enclosed porch - great size and just what I was looking for - comes with removable groundsheet.

The middle living area is spacious with sewn in ground sheet and plenty of light, with all the options for with or without curtains, fly mesh etc. Low and high level ventilation made for a condensation free night on the first night.

Rear bedrooms - can be two or one big one with a zipped divider. Black out rooms which are pretty effective with the thoughtful addition of two fly mesh windows with removable curtains.

So why the low score?

This tent is all about show and nothing about quality of build. One night and morning of light rain and it leaked at three points (maybe more) at the seams. The water literally poured down the side of the air tubes and pooled on the ground.

This is such a shame as the layout of the tent and some of the clever little features would otherwise have made for a fabulous tent.
