Awful product and awful customer service!
In October 2014 I purchased a sunncamp day room. Due to weather conditions we were unable to set the tent up. At the beginning of April with some dry weather we attempted set up. Only to find that a zip slider was missing from the tent. With a one year manufacturer's warranty I didn't think this would be a problem. However, on contacting leisure outlet I received extremely poor communication and was not offered a solution!
After a MONTH AND A HALF of no solution being offered and very very poor communication I needed the tent for a camping trip. I purchased a fix n zip slider to attempt to resolve the problem myself. This meant we could erect the tent, however we attempted to pitch the tent 3 times and it always sagged from one side, it collapsed once and the stitching inside was not straight. Also the zip with original missing slider was very weak and pulled apart. This meant we couldn't use it properly.
I contacted leisure outlet again and they finally agreed to collect and inspect the item. They then had the tent for TWO MONTHS! I emailed every two weeks for an update to be told it was in the warehouse and I would receive an update in 48 hours. I never received these and had to constantly chase them. I have never received such poor communication from a company! Finally after leaving a very grumpy answerphone message I was emailed back that the item had been inspected, no fault was found and I would receive my tent back.
So after four months of absolute hell I have a useless, unusable tent sat in my possession. I am absolutely disgusted with the way I was treated and received no customer service what so ever! I will never be buying from them again! £140 wasted!

We have changed from a large polyester tent with porch to a polycotton airbeam without a porch. I already own an Outdoor Revolution Outhouse XL, used as a kitchen tent, but we felt that we needed extra space to store all the porch stuff, and be able to cook in it as well.
I was a bit put off by the negative reviews on here, but the choice of day room tents is limited, so we thought we would give it a chance. I made sure that the one we ordered was in the 2014 new colours - praline, hoping that the problems experienced by other owners had been sorted out in the latest model.
I managed to put the Day Room up solo. It has webbing joining all four ring and pin points, so it's easy to get it square. The instructions are rubbish, they do not show that the steel pole sections are in three parts for a start. The lower section of the pole has a thumb operated locking mechanism, which make it easier to erect the tent 'on its knees' and then up when ready. This also makes it easy to get the walls near to the ground due to this telescopic feature. I had no problems with the angled corners at the top, the fibreglass poles slotted in easily. It has two guys on each corner and four pegging points on each side.
Inside, it has two mesh lined doors and two windowed doors with curtains. You can roll up all four doors, gazebo style. The doors are a bit of a pain to roll up as they are wide, definitely a two person job! There is a light hanging hook in the roof, and lots of space along a wall to put the kitchen stand, fridge etc. I like that it gives us lots of options with the different door configurations.
When I bought it I opted for the separate groundsheet and king poles, which together was only £15 extra -a bargain! The praline colour also looks good with the roof of our Shangri -La, and would be a sympathetic match to the mocca Outwells.

I've just bought one of these and like the reviewer below, the angled corner at the top of the pole bent the very first time we erected the tent. The tent is now lopsided and we need to get a replacement pole. Not very promising and I'd agree that this part of the pole is badly designed and needs a stronger part.

We bought one of these last year (2012). I was initially very pleased with it. It's a very nice design, plenty of light and good shelter from the wind and rain, and you can open as many sides as you please. Two sides have plastic windows, and the other two are opaque, or the section can be rolled up with insect netting underneath, so you can leave it closed but still with airflow. We use it to go alongside our campervan, rather than an awning which would have to be rolled in whenever we drive away for a day trip. Great for cooking, eating and drying wet clothes.
However, the third time we erected the tent last summer, one of the bent pieces at the top corner just folded at the bend. It's an aluminium piece which joins the upright aluminium pole at the corner to the GRP poles that cross over the top.
I tried to get the supplier to replace the part, but he contacted the manufacturer who refused to do so. They say the poles are not under warranty and offered to sell a replacement for £24.95 (the whole upright pole set for one corner).
The next time we used it was a few weeks ago, having not used it over the winter. We tried to put it up in calm conditions and two more of the corners folded. It can stand with one corner bent (and did withstand some storms in Arran like that last summer) but with more than one it can't be put up as the roof becomes concave.
I've just tried again to get them to give me replacements, but they will only sell them, though you can buy just the short corner piece at £3.95 + VAT + Delivery. (i.E. £27 for 4).
I would say those pieces are not fit for purpose. The aluminium is just too thin. They say they clearly state in the warranty that the poles are not covered.
Sometimes I would fight harder, but life is too busy right now, so I bought them. I just hope they don't fold like the others, or maybe I'll wrap them with fibreglass or something.
So. It's a really nice design in many ways, but don't expect much of the poles, and if you plan on relying on it, then buy some spare corner pieces to keep in the bag.

Bought this to provide extra room and somewhere to sit while camping at a paintball game.
This has everything that I needed and was amazing. The windows and mesh make is very light inside and also stopped the bugs getting at us (we had pitched next to a steam).
Before I used this I tried it out in the garden but the tent wasn't very stable due to it being to big for my garden and I couldn't get the guide ropes in.
I then pitched it at the event on my own and it went up really easy without any issues (i would suggest it's a 2 man job). Once all the guide ropes were in it was very stable and made our weekend so much better and had loads of people come over for a beer or two. Didn't have allot of wind that weekend so don't know how it would hold up.
It also packs down into a small bag which is handy as my tent is huge and room in the car is limited.

Our tent living area was so small, so we wanted a new tent. But saw this tent on the internet, what a difference it made to our camping. Easy to put up and an extra room to use this made our holiday. The only problem was a large gap at the base of the tent so people could see things on the floor, and leaked a bit with a light hanging from the roof when it rained. But would recommend to anyone!

I bought one of these off ebay to provide a better base tent solution than a pop up gazebo for group trips where everyone has small tents. Having had a couple of gazebo related disasters I hoped it would stand up to windy weather. Used it once so far and am impressed. Always a gamble with ebay, this tent had been used a fair bit it seems and had one missing guy line, but despite that withstood a constant prevailing wind in the Lake District for a long weekend!
Easy to put up for 2 people who had never seen it before but know how to erect other tents. No instructions with mine but really not difficult - just take the time to get it nice and square. Nice being able to open all sides, enough space inside for a table, kitchen stuff and 6 people. Not sure how it would perform in a proper gale, but its designed to flex so if you properly peg the base of it down and make sure you face the door you plan to open the most away from the wind it should be fine!
On the whole a much better option than a gazebo, much less likely to blow away and good extra cooking space if you are a small group. Packs up pretty small for its size too. Not sure I'd pay the rrp but plenty of these about second hand it seems.

Does what it says on the tin!
I'd been lugging a heavy weight, steel framed garden gazebo on camping trips to act as a sitting area for 2 families. We rig up a 'corral' of 2 windbreaks and set up the 2 kitchen stands/gas rings in the lee. I was always scared of the whole shebang taking off in high winds so THIS year I bought the Sunncamp instead(as well as the mesh ones) and it ticks all the boxes.
We were looking for a set up where all 4 doors can open. In the rain the 2 clear panels provide enough light inside but you can curtain these too if you want to 'hide' expensive gear.
It withstood the 1 1/2' of rain that fell in about 12 hours in Devon last week, and held firm in the accompanying wind gusts (I used deltas on the 4 guys) and I pegged the outer bottoms of the 3 unused doors to stretch the fabric a bit.
Sure it has no ground sheet but it's a day tent! We did put a 3m x 3m tarp on the ground cos the ground was sodden and there were 4 kids in the group.
It has a handy hanger for a light in the middle and velcro to hold the flex of an electric light if you have an EHU.
It packs up small, it doesn't weigh too much and I found it easy to pitch.
Downside? Our own fault- we had it oriented so the side we had up as an awning, in the rain, was a mesh and curtain one, not a clear window one and we wondered why it was letting the rain through. D'oh! A 90 degree swivel and all was sorted.

When/If you can get this up, (the instructions are utterly useless!) it does provide excellent extra utility space, (that's what it got the points for) - but compared to the Bell Tent that goes up next to this, in about a third of the time, putting this thing up is a flippin nightmare! And then when the wind got up, I half expected to see it floating out to sea, (I was also in SW Scotland like the previous reviewer). Sadly, due to completely inadequate instructions, one guy rope tie ripping off as soon as it was put under any tension and a 'spare' pole that was left floating about after this day tent had been put up I am sorely tempted to send it back. I would not recommend the purchase of this tent.

Bought this as an alternative to having to erect an awning onto a trailer tent, and as expected I had to use it this weekend. Good points, easy to erect (thank god, as I couldn't find the instructions that came with it!) will withstand very windy weather, if anyone read the forecast for sw scotland for this weekend, then you will get a picture of how windy it was, and we had no shelter from vans or trees as we were right at the front and bore the brunt of it!, curtains on all four doors to give you privacy! Bad points, for the life of me (and i'm not sure it's supposed to anyway) we couldn't get the sheet any closer to the grass than an inch and half to stop the wind blowing through, so all sides were blowing all ways, and because it doesn't come with a fitted groundsheet it wasn't very pleasant! So very handy for extra storage and will withstand very windy weather!
