Hello all, I got this tent as an e-bay bargain for £60, it had only been out the bag once, the guide ropes were still tied up as though it was new, heres a link of me putting it up single handed if it helps anyone decide wether to buy one https://www.Youtube.Com/watch?v=KZXp4xU41Cg , I used it for 3 nights, it never leaked, like other people have said the porch area gets wet if you don't keep it shut.

Just returned from 4 nights in Gloucs woodlands- loverly, and found the tent very satisfying overall.
Bit of a pain putting up on my own with the poles wanting to separate and catching in the sleeves but reckon if I re-cord them with non-stretchy cord which you can tighten as inserting/de-serting--yeh?
Deployed without the inner tent as to give a single compartment to move around in for the two of us on camp beds.
As for the lack of flyscreen to outer doors- I have a solution which also aids the privacy issue. For I noted when we took it to the Highlands a year or two back this was a potential weakness midge-wise.
Bought a piece of flyscreen material from a caravan supplies, 2 x 1 m which you can allow to hang down attached by household pegs and indeed the velcro tabs the sit alongside the zip side. Door should be partly closed - only by about 6' of zip at the top and peg down that side. Voila! a screen that OK doesn't block every cranny, but not far off. £15 (!) for the screen material from a caravan supplies store in Shrewsbury- definitely nice in the evenings esp. If you're not going to retire behind the inner bedroom screen. [i don't like having to unzip x no. Of times for a call at night].
And nb the footprint is brilliant. 5 pegs- job done.

Just an update to my previous post. I recently returned from a 10 day stay in Cornwall and, as previously stated, the Cornish weather was as unpredictable as ever. High winds and heavy rain one day, warm and sunny the next. The Evolution 400 stood up really well to the elements with no leaks detected during rain storms. The only problem I had with water in the tent was when my grandson came in one night and forgot to zip up the bottom of the side entrance. It rained all night and in the morning, the front area resembled a paddling pool, thanks to the sewn in groundsheet. The only thing missing was a rubber duck ! No fault of the tent, incidentally. It was very snug for two with plenty of room for kit and cooking equipment in the front area while the sleeping area was excellent for two air beds and sleeping bags. The footprint groundsheet and tent carpet were welcome additions to the set up. I am more than pleased with this tent and recommend it to anyone who needs a comfortable tent for two. More than two would be a bit cramped.

I bought this tent as a replacement for my trusty old Trigano canvas ridge tent. It was an Ebay bargain and like new. I found it easy to erect on my own and quite roomy for a 4 berth tent. I have yet to use it other than on my back lawn but the couple of nights I spent in it were very comfortable. I deliberately waited for some stormy weather and despite taking a battering from the wind and rain, the tent stood up well to it with no water ingress that I could find. I look forward to using it in earnest on one of my trips to Cornwall this year, where the unpredictable Cornish weather will probably test it to the limit. My old canvas ridge tent took a pounding last year with a few of the flysheet rubbers breaking, which needed temporary repairs. For someone who still thinks tents should be made from canvas and triangular shape, this Sunncamp Evolution 400 is one giant leap for me but so far, I like it.

What a cracking little tent.Been away from camping for 11 years and saw this advertised in the ad trader for £35 complete with carpet in very good condition an absolute bargain.This tent is very easy to put up with two people taking approx 15 minutes.Used it three times now with all types of weather and no problems at all except for the doors dripping water in when opened during rain.We can sleep three no problem.I intend to buy a decathlon tarp for next season which should sort this problem.
Overall well pleased and just looking forward to using it again.

I camped in a forest for a few days and it rained, rained and more rain.
The good bits; this tent has plenty of room, easy to put up; and snug just right for two;
The bad bits; the zipper leaked, (So make sure you do the zips up properly)
You really do need a Big porch on this or any other tent as when you open the door the rain goes straight into the living airier, watch out for condensation it can also be a big problem; getting in and out of tent with muddy boots can be a problem, this is where a porch would be handy, I think tent manufactures should talk to people who camp and ask for their ideas for tents and also sleep in there own tents for at least two weeks especially when it rains. That way they could design better tents;
I wonder sometimes if any tent manufactures ever go camping;
Come and ask me or ask some other campers or even scout leaders for their ideas about designs about tents Im sure they would sell a lot more if they designed all weather camping friendly tents.

I have just purchased one of these as an ebay bargain.SunnCamp Evolution 400 tent, footprint groundsheet, fitted carpet and double door porch nearly new and all for less than £30!
Firstly, the tent is simple to erect. Two poles (red) go lengthways and one pole (orange) goes across. Attach the ring and pins and the tent pops up to its full height and length. Simply peg everything out and its done!
The large outer doors make access to the tent easy, just make sure the storm strip is overlapping the bottom zip for full rain protection when you zip yourself in.
The living space is quite nice with large windows, mesh vents and privacy curtains. The living area is made of white nylon to brighten things up inside. This tent is great for the wife and I with all our equipment, but would be a squeeze if there were more of us.
The inner tent attaches to the fully sewn in ground sheet with quick release buckles at floor level, then the usual toggle and hoop system for rest of it, making it easy to install.
During our use of the tent, we have had fairly strong winds and heavy rain. The tent stood up to the weather very well although care must be taken when opening wet doors as the water can drip in. Using the double door porch stops this altogether.
The tent has not suffered with condensation as I would have expected it to, the vents seem to work very well indeed.
To dismantle the tent, simply reverse the sequence of erecting the tent. Really easy to do, I have put it up and taken it down on my own with no problems at all.
All in all, a great little tent, just right for two adults and kit but would be a tight squeeze for four people on anything more than a short stay. 9/10

We are getting too old ( in our 40s!) to stoop/crawl round in a tent for any length of time and so wanted one that my husband at 6' tall could stand up in and also that isn't too big to carry/erect as there are only 2 or us. This tent fits the bill perfectly on both counts which is great. There is limited headroom right in the front but he can still stand up outside the bed area. Really easy to put up and take down. Plenty of room for 2 adults and all our gear in the bed area, we do use mats rather than inflatable beds. Would be cramped with 4 adults and gear though. One thing that I would have liked is a flyscreen on the main doors so we could open the door for some air without getting midged. Also as others have mentioned the canopy that goes with the tent is way too pricey, we just put up with a bit of water getting in if we have to and keep a towel by the door to mop up. Other than these 2 points it would have got a 10 out of 10.

I bought this tent in an attempt to combine the best features of my festival tent (easy to erect by one person and stable even when not fully guyed, but not big enough to cook or stand up in) and my family tent (plenty of room but fiddly to erect and not particularly good in windy conditions). I haven't tested it in really bad weather yet, but so far so good.
A minor downside is that the tent is harder than I expected to erect on my own even in calm sheltered conditions (the length of the main poles makes it hard to thread them through without them coming apart) but with two people it's fine and, once all the poles are in, the tent takes its shape and is stable even before it is guyed.
The shape of the tent means that the living space has a pointed end with lower headroom, and so it feels slightly smaller than expected but you can make best use of the space by using the 'nose' for storage or cooking and - best of all - it's only a 30 second job to unhook and collapse the inner tent, then push it to the back to create a lot more space in the daytime.
I've had four people sleeping comfortably (on camping mats rather than mattresses) but this was at a festival so we didn't spend much time in the tent - I think it would feel crowded with four adults if you were spending long periods in there, but it would be fine for three adults, or two adults and two children, or two adults and a dog.

Fantastic tent for two adults. Very light and airy. Easy to erect and pack away. Good protection from the elements with rain guards over the zips. Have bought footprint and fitted carpet which have proved invaluable. The only downside is the sloping D shaped doors let the rain in if you are not careful, we have cured this with a sun canopy.
