7 Reviews of the Nirvana 500

We wanted to go camping again but the tent had to be large enough for us to walk in and plenty of headroom so we went looking, and came across the Sunncamp Nirvana 500. Love at first sight, it ticked all our boxes, headroom space, generous sleeping quarters, easy to erect and strip down. Also not to heavy to handle. Well pleased

Love this tent, we have a huge 3 room 6 berth we use for long trips, and a festival tent for one nighters, but we wanted something in between for weekends. The main reason we went for this one and not another make is the headroom, both myself and my 6'1' boyfriend can stand up fully with ease. Very easy to put up, meaning lots less arguing ;o) and our one came with luminous guy ropes, so I was less likely to trip over them. Great price too, if you can get hold of the previous years model they can be knocked down to about 60-70 quid.

We wanted another tent to take away for last minute short breaks so, we researched and brought this tent in a very short time, but as we already own a Sunncamp Invader we knew there would be no issue with the quality. It was very quick and easy to pitch taking about 20-25 minutes and it was extremely sturdy, we gave it a baptism of fire this weekend as the wind and rain thrashed it all weekend. Also worth noting that as it is black in colour it restricts the morning light allowing a much needed lie in! Our only negative points were, when you open the door the water runs off the tent and straight through the open doorway and the living area groundsheet could do with being tubbed or sewn in. All in all, a superb purchase as it does exactly what we wanted it to do.

I brought this tent as we wanted a cheep tent just for weekends as we have a trailer tent for longer breaks.
Really easy to put up and kept us nice and dry in the wind and rain.
For under £100 you can't ask for anything more.

We got this tent as we wanted more room and something we could actually stand up in ! The first time we used it was a very windy day but we managed to put the tent up relatively easy. The rest of the weekend was wet and windy and despite our initial fears it was secure and stable.

An excellent tent and ideal for two people, well at least me and my partner. We tend to take more than others but is our first tent so felt we needed more room. Great to be able to stand up in tent for getting dressed. Seems well built and fixes securely to ground. Coating on groundsheet seems to help keep heat in well. We got price knocked down to £75 so well pleased as tent is still retailing for £100 in many places. Good colours and looks quite cool.

Quick assembly and plenty of space for the two of us. Inexpensive to buy and very little to fault as we're fairweather campers. Easy to throw in the boot of the car for a quick weekend away. Well made though it would benefit from a little more ventilation when it's a sunny morning!
We think it's great!
