I hadn't planned to spend as much on a 2 person tent but I'm so glad I did. I'm a 59 yr old and 5ft tall female and couldn't face crawling around and getting dressed in a small tent. Just had my first trip out,I put up and took down the tent on my own no trouble at all.
The first day there was torrential rain all day and gale force winds but the tent remained upright and sturdy with not too much movement despite the wind. The sleeping area was cosy I had a campbed and my clothing in there, in the front area I had a chair and table.
My only gripe was the inner bedroom fabric was a bit saggy at the back so that may be a nuisance if you have 2 people sleeping in there.

Tent is OK for what it is but like most tents of this price the fabric and the ropes tension keeps the tent upright between the poles. I've made 2 extra poles for mine which link the front and back poles together to makea a rigid structure. For the price a lot better than aother makes.A good idea are the metal side poles rather than fibre glass

I love this tent! I bought it when I had to give up the campervan my son and I had travelled in since he was 2 years old - it was a huge wrench and I thought I'd never enjoy outdoor living again! Finding a tent we could both stand up in was a must and this was the only one for 2 ppl I found. It's not the easiest to set up, I'll grant you that, it took a bit of practice but eventually when I'd got the knack of what to do in what order, I could do it alone. My son (around 10 at the time) and I shared the sleeping space easily, and although it did sag a bit at the back, as others have said, it didn't really seem to affect us that badly. These days he sleeps in his own 2 man tent, but I have also shared it with adult partners and been fine. Interesting to hear about the poles splitting - my first one went after I'd attached an extra tarp for outdoor shade to it and assumed the wind/tugging had put too much strain on it. I replaced it at the time, but last summer it split again - but that's after 7 yeas, mind! I think that's pretty good going! I'm hoping I can get replacement poles so it will keep going for another few years as I can't find anything similar on the market for the price. Excellent value.

I bought a one of these for a good price in the January sales, my criteria being for a tent I could stand up in and one I could easily put up on my own. My previous tent, an EasyCamp Baltimore 300, was a similar size and height but it had inverted-U fibreglass poles which I broke three times; they’re not too bad if two people are sharing the job but a struggle for one alone. I am pleased to say that the Silhouette 200 is quite easy to erect by myself.
Paper instructions are in a pocket on the storage bag, and an earlier PDF can be found online, but they’re not the clearest. For example, before you are familiar with the tent it would be nice to be told which of the two diffent sorts of roof poles goes where, rather than having to fathom it out for yourself. I’m not sure how one unfortunate reviewer kept breaking them, for there is little curvature on the poles over the roof, and although there is more on the ‘eyebrow’ ones they have 'elbows'built into them. The answer is to engage one end and then keep pulling the fabric sleeve to keep it central on the pole while you are moving to fasten the other end, otherwise you get an uneven curve, and that’s how the poles on my old tent broke. I also had what looked like three different sorts of steel poles, so without any advice it took a while to work out which ones were for the sides (it is the shockcorded ones); after much head scratching I concluded that the extra poles shouldn’t have been with my tent and were for the Silhouette 400 which pictures online show has a large canopy.
Sunncamp make a big thing about the protective bags on the elbow joints to prevent damage to the tent material when packed away. However, little attention is made to the pins that are inserted into the base of the steel poles. At the start mine had little clear plastic caps on them, but they soon disappeared, I suspect they are stuck inside the poles. I strongly recommend you glue these caps on.
At 5 ft 11 in tall, the top of my head just brushes the inside of the flysheet. The bedroom is a little lower and, as others have said, it is rather saggy, but it can be improved because the tapes which hold it up to the flysheet can be tightened as they are adjustable. There is only a narrow space between the bedroom door and my large Hi Gear Quick Comfort Bed but clothes bags etc. Easily go to the back of it. I put pieces of carpet tiles under the feet to avoid damaging the groundsheet. The bedroom material is black, takes a little bit of getting used to, and is a rather gauze-like material which I’m fearful will be cold and draughty in bad weather. The lower half of the windows/vents is clear plastic while the upper half is fine mesh. While the cover over the rear one can be rolled up halfway or fully if desired, you can’t do the same with the side one, whose cover can only be unzipped and pegged out.
Finally, a bonus. When I noticed a pair of zip-pulls hanging from the front ‘eyebrow’ I found a rolled up canopy inside a long pocket. So that is what the extra poles and a couple of spare guy lines were for! This was a complete surprise to me, for I have not seen it mentioned in any text nor is it shown in any photos of the tent that I have seen.

It is very interesting reading the other reviews. I'm able bodied and used it to camp throughout the seasons with two large dogs. Having had a 3man dome tent, it was fab to find a tent that I could stand up in. Bedroom area is snug, but keeps it warm. I didn't find sagging a problem, I used the adjustments to get things just right. I never had a problem with poles splitting, but may be that had been sorted by the time I got mine. I camped in mine throughout the winter, it never leaked or blew down, it is very stable, water proof and strong. Putting it up is fairly easy when you get the hang of it. It can be done single handed, but one has to peg a guy rope or two to keep it upright and then adjust to get it perfect. So to the problems I had with it. Condensation! Probably my fault, cooking and heating a waterproof unit in the winter, it is a tent after all. I have since given/lent it to someone else and they only had a small condensation problem. So to sum up. Damn fine tent, (but not for carrying a long way.) good to put up when you have the art. Peg it out properly and it is stable. Other useless tips I have are to get rubber matting to put down(if only in the sleeping area) really helps with keeping you warm and comfy. I put kitchen towel round outside of the sleeping area to soak up condensation. My other tip is never use double air beds or any thick air beds when camping. Don't be fooled into thinking they are more comfy. If you don't get it right all that air in an air bed gets as cold as the night air! As cold as your fridge, and you wouldn't sleep in that! Good luck and enjoy.

I agree with previous reviews - this tent has some excellent points but also some flaws. The height is brilliant for a music festival-loving granny who's no longer prepared to put on her jeans lying down, and it's so good to have a decent sized social area which would be big enough to seat 4. But the bedroom would be very tight for 2, and the inner tent does sag significantly into the already scanty sleeping area.
My serious problem, though, is that there's a design fault which causes the roof poles to split. The elbow forces the roof poles into a steeper curve than they are able to sustain, and I first had to get new poles after I'd used the tent about 4-5 times for weekend festivals but I've only done 3 festivals with my new poles and they've both split.
I'd be very interested to hear if anybody else has had this problem, and if there are any suggestions out there.
Somebody commented about ease of putting it up - I found it took a while to get the hang of it because it's vital to do final adjustments to straighten and position it right to avoid sag before pegging it all down, but now I know what I'm doing it's perfectly possible to erect it alone, though easier with a helper.

I bought this tent for shared transport trips when my massive old canvas tent can't fit in. Having said that its a fair size package for a two man tent at approx 70 x 35x 25cm packed size and 11kg.
Putting it up is doable on my own but as with any tunnel tent, its easier with someone to help hold one arch while you sort out the other one. The tent has steel legs and carbon fibre arches and felt good and sturdy when all guyed out. It was pretty windy for my first trip with a canopy ripping of a(very expensive)tent on the site but the Sunncamp took the wind and torrential rain in its stride.
The main attraction is the standing space and large 'lounge' area which is pretty much unique for a 2 person tent. Its well thought out with hook-up cable access point, good ventilation points and a mini 'eyebrow' porch.
I slept snugly in the bedroom. Although I agree with the previous reviews about the inner tent overhanging the back of the sleeping area, I improved this somewhat by making sure the back set of steel legs were fully upright and pulling out the back of the tent fully when pegging.
All in all, its a good looking and well thought out tent for singles or couples who don't want to crawl around anymore.

This is by far the worst tent I`ve ever had, I camp alone and am disabled so need to be able to stand up in it and that was the only plus point. Putting it up on your own is a nightmare, the back of the tent lays on the inner tent which by the way has only enough room for one, so much condensation I might just as well sat out in the rain to get dressed. Very unstable in the wind even with extra guide ropes and 20 pegs holding it down. Am back to my old dome tent this week end and I can`t see me using the sunncamp again.

I love this tent bought it after seeing it erected so I knew exactly what I was getting, and how to put it up
However the large front door has no mesh, the bedroom is snug its only 140mm wide so only a double airbed not 2 singles will fit the back also is angled so the outer person will feel the inner material I use a single aerobed the tent is great 4 one or adult and child so view before you but
I an 6 ft 4 so all things relative if you are smaller then maybe okay I can stand just,so I am happy the weight is okay and I carry it on a motorcycle
