We bought ours second hand as a friend of ours had one and we were really impressed with the Sprint - and of course it's been discontinued.

Lovely solid frame, which yes is a little heavy in the car but proved its worth on a particularly windy holiday on the south coast, barely fluttered.

Some of the connecting springs have long since given way on the steel poles but we just put a little gaffer round them, not that they need it but just because my fiance puts the tent up by himself! And it takes him no time at all.

It's everything a 4 berth tent should be, the hydrostatic head rating, sewn in inner tent, the windows, the double front door so if it's pouring down you can climb in through one door, strip off and nothing gets soaked.

But the best part is the absolutely mahooooosive full height lounge area. We've easily sat 8/10 people in there on a few occasions.

Glampers amongst you will appreciate the space it provides and bugs it keeps out.

In my opinion the only fault of the tent is that you do need to buy a separate groundsheet for it as it's so big to scrub/dry out at home.

I'm worried what we will replace it with when the time comes, nothing comes near in terms of inner lounge space and height, and Sunncamp don't seem to offer anything too similar. Hmmm

Wow - had this tent since new brought it ages a go and finally decided to give it ago this weekend. After a quick dry run in the garden I was surprised at how easy it was to pitch. With the Sprint set up in a beautiful campsite in Norfolk we found it to stand out amongst many Outwell and Vango tents, there was nothing else like this to be seen.

An ample living area and being fully doubled skinned it is comfortable, warm and in the heat, the sprint has no end of drop down vents and windows all with insect screens. The roof vent works incredibly well. Night 2 saw a massive storm and down pour which the tent took in its stride, not a drop made it inside.

9 out of 10 only for two reasons the 4 berth sleeping pod is only 240cm wide and hence 4 adults or 4 air bed / camp beds will not fit � however you can sleep in the main area as all is doubled lined. On the fly sheet at the bottom there is skirt which sits loose and helps seal the tent, as this is pegged above the valance in wind you get a lot of flapping � a few eyelets in the design would have eliminated this.

Overall an excellent tent that took many looks as now 3 years old

I bought the sprint 2 years ago to replace the gelert spacedome tent which basically couldn't take the wind that the north york moors threw at it, the sprint takes it all in its stride with no problems at all. The steel frame locks everything solid , I do agree with previous reviews that taking it down in the rain is a bit of a problem because there is a lot of canvas to dry out over the bannister but that is only a minor negative on an otherwise great tent that with practice can be erected in just under half an hour. I've recently bought a mazda bongo campervan and we were going to sell it but after our last outing in it [9 days at osmotherly] in a mixture of sunshine , high winds and and heavy rain the sprint didn't budge , we cant part with it.

Out of all the tents I own(including the legendary Cabanon) I much prefer the Sunncamp. The attraction for me was the steel poles which makes the structure especially sturdy in all conditions. Even in the most stormy conditions the tent remains rock solid and most importantly,dry.

The windows are large and airy with the option of half covering them over the mosquito net when it rains leaving you the ability to still see out of the windows. Storage pockets around the tent are adequate but not over-generous. There's a small skylight from which it's possible to hang a lamp. Being double skinned all over makes it warm and cosy.

I've never had a problem with it being pitched inner first. I just wait for a small gap in the weather and pitch it as quickly as possible assisted of course by the great She-Devil. I would definitely purchase one of these tents again in the future but next time the XL model which has a second sleeping pod for when we have guests.

We were late converts to camping and didn't know much about tents but certainly knew what we liked and didn't like. Our friends had a larger Sunncamp tent which we liked and we went to a camping exhibition and chose the Sprint over all the others because it met our needs and the price was good for what it provided. For us its selling points were the size of the living space, the fact it let in lots of light and the sown in ground sheet.

We are now in our second season and have used it for 4 separate trips and apart from the problem with poles (see below) have not been disappointed.

For the two of us the 4 berth sleeping pod is fine, but it would be a squash for four although two and a small child might be OK.

Pitching is relatively easy using the instructions provided, although on our third trip we had some problems with the poles twisting and locking and had a nasty moment when we just couldn't get them apart and had to borrow brute strength and WD40 from a fellow camper. We've now got the knack of sorting this quickly using WD40.

Once pitched the tent is a delight - light, warm and dry with lots of space and a real home from home if the weather is bad and you need to spend time in it. It is easy to organise and keep tidy. It would be better if it had more pockets, especially floor to ceiling ones, since because of the inner tent design there are no poles showing and apart from a central hook there is no way of hanging things

We also appreciate the design of the windows, which allow you to have the outer sheet rolled up to let in light and the option of unzipping and rolling down the pvc inner window leaving just the fly sheet to let in air.

We camped in the Yorkshire Dales in May and had very heavy rain and winds and it stood up well.

It is quite a big tent and we camp in comfort, so take quite a lot of gear for the two of us, so would only recommend it for 4 or more nights.

Overall I would recommend this tent if its comfort and living space for longer trips you are looking for.

I bought this tent as it has a huge living area with loads of head room and really big windows making it ideal for those rainy days stuck in the tent. The front canopy is excellent for sitting under for shade or to escape showers and is where we do most of our cooking. There's a handy entry point for ehu and a few pockets for storage of bits and pieces. The bedroom is not so spacious but suits the two of us and our two dogs just fine. The bathtub groundsheet is fab and nowhere for bugs(a pet hate of mine) to get in.

We recently camped in wind and very heavy rain and found the tent to be very stable and it remained bone dry inside. The only thumbs down for the tent is that it is pitched inner first so when taking it down, or putting up in the rain everything gets soaked. The poles for the main living area are also very heavy and make the tent a bit bulky for weekend use. All in all it is a good tent but best for longer trips due to the heavy poles. I prefer to use a smaller lighter tent for weekends.
