Skye Eco Bells is a unique Eco Glamping site on the Isle of Skye. We only have 3 Cosy Cabins and 1 Bell tent to keep the site small so people can enjoy some tranquility and time to relax and unwind whilst having a great base to explore all of Skye.
The site is nestled in a peaceful woodland which we planted in 2013 to help offset the environmental impact of the business. Eco Bells has no electricity or WiFi so you can really disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with the important things.......each other and the stunning natural landscape around you. Lighting is provided by rechargeable lights and candle power and each cabin has a 500W Power Station for charging devices.
Each furnished Cosy Cabin and Bell Tent sleeps 2 in a double bed. Each of the cabins and tent also has it`s own fire pit and BBQ area to enjoy outdoor fires and sit under the stars with a drink or 2! We provide firewood for the wood burning stove in your cabin but you will need to supply your own firewood if you wish to have an outdoor campfire.
You will also have access to The Hub, a social camp kitchen that is fully kitted out for all your cooking needs and furnished in a cosy style with candle lanterns and a wood burning stove for those cooler evenings.
The Shack provides additional cooking/eating space and is convenient for making that morning cup of coffee to start your day of exploring.
The site also has a unique greenhouse shower and composting toilet that fit in with our eco credentials and reduce our impact upon the environment.
Sit by your outdoor firepit after exploring the island or relax in your cosy cabin, warmed by the wood burning stove or enjoy the fun of camping but with the luxury of a proper bed in our furnished Bell Tent.
Compost toilet, the greenhouse shower and sociable Hub and Shack are all part of the off grid experience. Up to 2 dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only. There is a £10 charge which is paid by cash when you visit.
We try to meet all our guests at some point during their stay but as we have a young family and other jobs, we may not be able to meet you on arrival. So we operate a self check-in system : When you arrive at Eco Bells please park sensibly, without blocking in other guests cars. You will find a noticeboard with details of your cabin and a map of the site.
In your cabin you will find an information book about Eco Bells, things to do and places to eat. Either Scott or Nadia will be on site at some point every day so if you have any questions feel free to ask. If we are not about, our telephone numbers are in the information book. If we are about when you arrive, we will give you a tour of the site and answer any questions you might have.

Skye Eco Bells is situated in the North West of the Isle of Skye in the small community of Orbost, about 3 miles from the village of Dunvegan, which has a well stocked village store, bakers, cake shop, greengrocer/wholefood shop, restaurant, garage, cafes and pubs.
Neist Point with its iconic lighthouse; Dunvegan Castle and Gardens; the Three Chimneys restaurant; walk or bike from the campsite to MacLeods Maidens or climb to the top of MacLeods Tables; visit Skyes world famous mountain range, The Cuillin or take a dip in the Fairy Pools that lie below them; take a tour of the famous Talisker Whiskey distillery; walk out to the Coral Beach.
