Spacious quiet site in a beautiful location.

Pleasant welcoming host.

Adequate facilities.

A working farm with animals all around.

Lodges also available which some of our friends used. They’re warm with a ski lodge feel. No electricity when we arrived but was speedily resolved.

Lots of walking in the area.

The facilities were exceptional, the shower and toilets were some of the best we’d seen in a camp site.

Lovely little break away with family and friends and a brisk walk down to Brixham harbour.

A great site in the middle of Exmoor.

Next to a young River Exe with great walks from the camp. Very peaceful and a good place to chill out. Clean facilities and fire pits in one of the fields- they sell logs on site

This is in a Dark Sky park so good views of the stars. I thoroughly recommend if you want to get away from the crowds

 Group of motorcycling friends.

A lovely quiet campsite in a great area. (yes, most bikers love peace and quiet too lol!) the campsite was large enough to have your own area and not bother, or be bothered by, anyone else.

Firepits and wood to buy was a big bonus. Friendly old farm dogs wander about.

Good value campsite in the middle of nowhere, great place to get away from it all

What can I say - other campsites could really learn a thing or two from Westermill.

Price: Not sure exactly, we paid about 55 quid for 3 nights (2 people, 1 vehicle) - so I guess that's about £9 pppn.

Location: wonderful. Bit of a hike to the closest village (Exford), but it is possible.

Ambience: so laid back. Pitch wherever you want, there are no marked out pitches, dogs, chickens, and geese roaming free, brook running through the site - it's just beautiful.

Facilities are great - laundry, family showers, washing up point. And a water tap you can easily fill up your tank from.

No phone signal, which for us was a bonus as we wanted a proper getaway. Little shop on site. No EHU but this meant no big white boxes of Motorhomes - like AT ALL - which was wonderful, I hate them and they ruin a campsite as far as I'm concerned.

We pitched right by the stream and put our drinks in to keep them cool. It was heaven. They got everything right.

This year my family and I visited this campsite. I used to come here when I was a child (everything seemed so much bigger back then!).

It still has the same draw for families, my kids loved playing in the stream and forming friendships with other children on the site.

The facilities are great, really nice to have a family shower room and the drying room is a luxury that every family campsite should have!

We went on one of the walks but got a bit lost as I think the guide leaflets the campsite has are a little out of date (that or they need to repaint their waymarkers! But it was still a really enjoyable walk.

I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Lovely location stayed in field 4 with open fire pit.

Good clean facilities.

Nice walk to exford.

Midges a problem for 1 night but that goes with the territory.

Logs for fire £5 per bag.

Some adults allowed their kids to roam and play through other peoples pitches, bit annoying.

Fantastic campsite with brilliant facilities. The owners were welcoming and helpful.

Really enjoyed being on a working farm. We had no phone reception, which was fantastic, just to escape for a few days.

Local pubs and shops are just a shortish walk and are good value.

Peaceful and quiet with all the facilities you need. Toilet blocks are clean with plenty of hot water and toilet paper in the toilets.

The owners are friendly and cater to your every need. We love it because of the lack of loud music, and lots of outdoor space to explore.

Plenty of room for the tents without feeling hemmed in by the other tents.

I have been visiting this site for the last ten years and despite the English weather doing its best to dampen proceeding we have never had a bad stay.

The site is all about escape, there is no mobile signal, no electrical hookup and fires are allowed in the forth field.

It's how camping used to be, quiet and making your own fun.

Walks from the site are available, it's better with stout walking boots. Exford is an easy flat walk along the approach road which is quiet. There are plenty of towns within 30 minutes, but if you are familiar with North Devon, everything is 30 minutes away.

There are two sets of toilet/shower blocks, a bit rustic but they are clean and functional.

As mentioned by another reviewer, if you are towing ensure you go via Exford, if you don't be sure to post a video of your exploits!
