Have been going to this campsite for a number of years…
Love the hillside location and views, simplicity, quiet, peaceful vibe,
Easy beach access, hill walking on the doorstep,
Open space pitches with space for ball games,
Friendly staff, clean facilities, on-site Sri Lankan food…

This campsite has a great location, a short walk to the sea (and pubs etc) with some nice views.
The pitches are very large and flat.
We were early in the season but everything was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful on entry,
We will come again.

Friendly staff, great location for the beach and the town.
Lot's of space for children to play without getting in the way of other campers

Great campsite with really good facilities and friendly staff.
Well located to croyde beach.
You could even hire surfing gear from the campsite which was really good.
Definitely recommend this campsite!

Access to site is ok, a little narrow in places for my motorhome but to be expected in this part of the world.
Checking in was easy, the staff very polite and helpful.
I was pitched in the Rocket field which has a gentle slope easily put right with a couple of ramps.
There is no electricity at this site which was ok as I have two leisure batteries and a solar panel.
We found one water tap at the top of the field but think there really should be at least two or three for a field of this size.
Also there is only one chemical waste point near the reception and not enough grey water drainage on site especially if you are staying for a week etc.
The site is placed perfectly for surfers and bodyboarders etc being only a five minute walk to the sea front. Boards can be hired from site.
There are a few good walks from the site over to nearby beaches etc.
I would definitely use this site again. Its very basic but the price is right even in August.

This is a really lovely site, in fact one of nicest sites we have stayed at.
The site is split into several different fields, we were in a couples only area, with great views of the bay.
There are so many showers, each day you find some more hidden away, all really clean and stacks of hot water.
You can walk down through the campsite and on to the beach road, or the other way, 5 mins and you are into the village.
We were walking, and saw most of the other sites, by a country mile, this was the best site.
Great site, really clean, not over crowded, friendly staff, just just a really good site.

Nice site, great location within easy walk of beach in wetsuit. Nice hot showers. Toilets and washing-up facilities ok.
We are family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Disappointed than we had to pay adult price for teenagers. We were also told to take a pitch in Jinnies field as this was allocated to families with teenagers and would ensure 'we weren't next to crying babies'.
Low and behold, we did end up next to 2 families with 6 grisly kids (all shouting and crying at 6. 30am!). When we checked at reception as to how this happened if field allocated to teenagers, the receptionist just smiled, said she had had a few other complaints and that it was too late to move them! It was not good, and I decided to move my family (not an easy feat once set-up) to adult only field.
Once moved, we had a great time and a lovely pitch.
