This is an amazing site. It has all you need. Water, electric, shower and 2 toilets.
It is a short walk to the RSPB site and a short drive to RAF Lakenheath where you can watch the f15/f35 take off.
There are shops/takeaways in Brandon and Ely.
I would highly recommend this campsite.

This campsite is fantastic and in a stunning location, idea for relaxing breaks, birdwatching in the local reserves, fast jets and plane photography at either RAF Lakenheath or RAF Mildenhall.
For your shopping you have a Tesco and Aldi in Brandon and similar in Ely.
There are some lovely dog walks from the site.
The new owner is very friendly and helpful.
The site is kept clean at all times

This is the sort of site you want to keep as your own secret. Tom the owner is friendly and welcoming, very good company and wildly enthusiastic about the local wildlife.
The site is neat and tidy but not obsessively so, and there's a relaxed vibe. Facilities are excellent - functional rather than luxurious but very adequate, squeaky clean and cleaned at least once a day. Lots of water points, a small washing up area and good chemical disposal point, in many ways more like a Club site than a CL.
If you like birds this is definitely for you and there's an easy walk along the field to a nearby bird reserve. Personally I don't much care for birds but the walk was lovely.
The site is in the middle of the fen and there is little passing traffic and no light pollution at night.
The nearest village is Lakenheath, utterly charmless but has a good Co-op with all the necessaries.
There is some noise in the morning from the jets at Lakenheath but it doesn't last long and it's a feature of life in this part of East Anglia.
We only found The Paddock because we had to play at nearby Weeting Steam Rally.
It's quite out of the way for us, but we're going to come back just because it's such a great place. Very very highly recommended.

A lovely site. Great location for visiting RSPB Lakenheath as you can walk in from the campsite with the visitor centre being the halfway point (for cuppa &/or ice-cream!).
Lakenheath is nearby with great curry house, co-op and Maidscross Hill for a lovely walk. Not far from Ely and other nature reserves in the area.
New owner is very friendly and has installed solar panels for the site. Clean facilities including good hot shower. We recommend a visit!

Amazing campsite. Welcoming staff. Totally fine and safe for solo travellers like me, especially being female. It's serene, clean and beautiful.
The RSPB is within a lovely walking distance but all sorts of rare birds come to the site.
One of the best things is the free wifi which works perfectly.
I have stayed on several occasions and have never been disappointed.
Really easy to get about and visit the many beautiful places as it's on the edge of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
If you want a natural quiet stay this is the place for you.

A revisit to a favourite site backing onto the nature reserve with beautiful walks into the back of the rspb lakenheath.
A warm welcome with very reasonable price inclusive of electricity and with very clean toilets and shower.
The ambience slightly spoilt by a new addition of a big metal shipping container destined for conversion in the middle of the site.
Not sure how this will impact the peaceful environment when this begins.

What a cracking little site one of the best ones we have stayed at in the last month, very friendly owners, everything spotlessly clean just the sort of site we like.
The airbase is nearby and you can see the planes taking off.
An ideal stop off on our way back to Kent, will go there again.

I can’t rate this small hideaway site enough, it’s my go to site when in the area.
As a Wildlife photographer it’s ideally situated for the Lakenheath reserve which can be reached by a long but pleasant walk from the site.
Although it’s a little way out from the village it’s only just a short drive back where you will find a Co Op, Fish & Chips, Take Away & a Small Pub to provide everything you need supply wise.
The toilets and Shower are kept scrupulously clean by Kathy who manages the site and who gives everyone a warm welcome, whilst Jim who lives on site keeps the grounds immaculate and is always there for help and likes a chat in the evenings and helps give the site a personal feel.
Having visited several times it is now more like staying with old friends and I look forward to my next visit to catch up with Kathy and Jim again.
I would Thoroughly recommend this site if your a solo traveller.

A very nice site, good price of £15. 50 pn. Good welcome, loos and showers which are well kept. The trains are infrequent and no bother.
Easy to find, a bit out in the sticks, quiet single track road for the last mile or so, if coming from Mildenhall.
The road from the A11 to Lakenheath was closed at the time of our visit.
Lakenheath is hardly more than a village but has a Co op.
We would use this site again as a stopover.
