Grantchester Caravan and Camping is a 1 acre CCC Certificated site situated on a quiet road between the villages of Skelton and Overton just 3.5 miles from the historic city of York.
The site is surrounded by mature trees and hedgerows and is 500 yards from the offroad riverside cycle path into the centre of York.
Unisex toilet block (incl toilets, urinal,showers,and sinks. Also hairdryer and shaver points. Dishwashing facilities. Waste disposal area and recycling facilities. 18` double gates for easy caravan access and seperate pedestrian gate. Hard surface access road the length of the site. 10 amp electric hook ups. 16 amp electric hook ups at extra charge. Free Wifi hotspot available. Dogs welcome (max 2 per pitch) 19 Hardstanding pitches available.
Nearby facilities include the Blacksmiths Arms village pub which is situated opposite the site offering local brewed beers (currently closed). Within a 15 minute walk there is the Riverside Farm Pub Restaurant with soft play area and beer garden.
The village of Skelton has a small shop/post office, duck pond and childrens play area and is also home to the 12th/13th Century Medieval Church of St Giles. Within 500 yards of the site there is a footgolf course with bar and large beer garden and a garden centre with a cafe offering a selection of home made food to eat in or takeaway.
Nearby Attractions
The areas of Clifton and Poppleton are both within 1.5 miles and offer a selection of pubs, Tesco Supermarket, petrol filling stations and various restaurants including Chinese, Italian, Mexican and Indian cuisine.
The Easingwold to York bus route passes within 500 yards of the site and offers easy access to the City Centre or the market town of Easingwold.
Places to visit include historic York City Centre, Beningbrough Hall, Scarborough, Eden Camp, Flamingoland, Elvington Aircraft Museum and McArthur Glen Designer Outlet to name just a few.

Owner Directions
From York Centre take A19 SP Thirsk/Easingwold. Continue on the A19 through Clifton then Rawcliffe. Go over A1237 (Ring road) past the Riverside PH on the left , Footgolf and Skelton Garden Centre on the left after 100 yds. Turn left onto Stripe Lane signposted Overton (a single track road just opposite the Blacksmith Arms Pub - currently closed) and the site is the second gate on the left.
