Situated in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park, the peace and quiet of the Dan-yr-Ogof Showcaves site, together with its beautiful mountain scenery, allow you to unwind and dream away the day. Voted one of the top 25 caravan parks in Britain by a national newspaper.
Our tourist attraction, Dan-yr-Ogof, the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (www.showcaves.co.uk) has a Dinosaur Park, complete with over 100 replicas of life-size prehistoric animals, as well as three Showcaves, which are part of the limestone mountains. There`s also a replica Iron Age Farm, a Shire horse centre and a Victorian farm, as well as outdoor and indoor play areas. Please go to www.showcavesbookings.co.uk to book your tickets.
The campsite itself is on the far side of the Showcaves and dinosaur park. The site, together with the toilet block facilities, are constantly being updated.
Included in our prices for our caravan park are the following: electrical hook-ups, hard standings, grey water outlets and water pipes - available on ALL individual pitches. There are NO extra charges for awnings or dogs.
Free Wi-Fi is available.
Facilities include a showers, toilets and hand basins, with a washing-up area.
Fresh water tap outside the accessible facilities.
All pitches for wheeled units are on hard standing.
Tents: An electrical supply for a tent is £6 per night. We cannot guarantee electrical points for tents as they are available on a `first-come-first-served` basis.
Our site is very environmentally friendly as your electrical needs are met by our own hydro generators and solar panels.
There are many excellent pubs and restaurants nearby for your evening meals.
Caravan Rallies:
We have several large well-drained flat fields, which are ideal for hosting small, and large caravan rallies.
Coffee Shop:
If you are feeling hungry during your stay with us then why not visit our coffee shop - open 9.30am - 4.00pm on the days the Showcaves attraction is open. Check www.showcaves.co.uk for those days.
Nearby Attractions
If your holiday expectations include climbing magnificent mountains, walking behind raging waterfalls, exploring mysterious gorges, or even visiting a castle clinging to the top of a cliff, then you could not find a better holiday base.
In addition to the wonderful natural attractions you can also enjoy the thrill of sliding down a mountain on the dry ski slope which is close by, or let the horse take the strain, and go pony trekking through the National Park!
Throw your cares away for a while, as you sit and relax by the sites river pathways and watch our gushing mountain river dodging past massive glacial boulders as it flows swiftly through our site on its journey down our valley to the sea, just 20 miles away.
A great day out is the Gower Coast, just an hour`s drive away.

Owner Directions
From junction 43 on the M4 take the A465 to Glyn Neath, then the A4109, on to the A4221 to Abercrave. Pick up the A4607 to Dan-yr-Ogof. The signs will guide you in.
Alternatively, from junction 45 of the M4, take A4067 and follow the brown tourist signs right to the door.
