Awesome spot to spend a few days. Facilities are immaculate, around the best you will find.
We have had a few caravan pitches over the years, make sure you have enough blocks for the steadies, some of the pitches will need them because they are on a slope.
Visiting the caves is always great, and heading up the mountains is also great fun!
Pop down the Gwyn Arms for some food and a pint.

Nice site in beautiful surrounding right next to show caves ( well worth a visit ).
Individual serviced plots, clean facilities. Couple of pubs nearby serving food.
Booking easy on line, but unable to amend if you change plans.
No deposit, pay warden when they come around. Just drive in find parking spot and settle in very casual

My parents and children traveled ahead and on arrival encountered two lovely ladies taking payment. My parents enquired where we could pitch together. The ladies walked around with them and suggested an area in a lower section and it would be safer for the children. My mother checked with the ladies and confirmed pitch 39+40. They said the only issue would be someone else going there so my Dad saw an orange cone on the fire box and put it on the middle of the pitch to make it clear the pitch was taken.
When we arrived later on we spoke to the same ladies who took payment and they remembered my parents and confirmed we were pitch 39 (next to my parents). We arrived at our pitch and unhooked the caravan. I was moving the car when a male warden arrived and instructed us to move. We tried explaining that the pitch had been confirmed by the ladies when we paid on our arrival. He also repeatedly said that he was keeping the pitch for a person with a disability.
I'm sure the warden would argue that we were pitched next to each other but it was a further distance away which actually made it difficult to be social. Had we arrived together, or if it had been earlier in the day, we would have moved to be better placed together.
This upset the start of our two night stay and continued to have an impact given the impact on the social nature of the stay. We are not party people and we were in bed and asleep by 10. 30 on the Friday and asleep by 9. 30pm the night after.
The site is pleasant, has good facilities and is in a good location. I'm sure many would enjoy their stay but I will not recommend the site.

Ideally placed on Beacons Way. This site has tent camping as well as caravan/ camper spaces with electric.
As come in the entrance of the caves it’s difficult to find, but go to you’re left at the end of the entrance drive.
The toilet block was immaculately clean.
There are a number of family shower/ toilet rooms with plenty of space inside.
Pan wash area and a small room cloths washing.
Very warm and lots of hot water.
Water taps around whole site.
When we went it was quiet so all tent area to ourselves. Have heard can get busy.
There is a warden on site very friendly and helpful. Meet us on arrival. Policy is set up and either find warden next morning if came in late.
There is a café about 5 min walk at the caves we found it disproportionately expensive and it does not sever breakfast ( apparently it’s old info still on camp info board)
There is another about 20 min walk away, which was far better.
There are large boulders around the tent area which fitted our bottoms exactly, not sure meant to but good thought if that was intended.
We did not, but advertised is horse riding and dry slop skiing. There is also area with little goats/ sheep and a shire horse Center. The caves are worth doing on a rest day for Beacon Way walkers.
No power plugs for phones

The campsite is beautifully situated at the bottom of the valley with stunning views at all angles.
Facilities are great but access to washing machines would’ve been useful.
Walking distance to the caves which I would recommend you visit.
It’s a half hour drive to anything so if you’re are looking for lots on the site it’s not the site for you.
Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the campsite, we stayed for 2 nights with our 2 year old. He loved seeing the animals next to campsite.
The site has great facilities. Definitely worth staying at if visiting the show caves.
We will definitely use again.

Site clean and tidy and well laid out, I hadn't realised about a warden doing the rounds and collecting pitch fees as it never happened, I guess I now need to email and request bank fees.
I do however have a gripe about the mens and ladies toilet blocks being closed for the two days we stayed, literally in the middle of the Easter holidays, why?
This meant that we had to use the communal shower rooms for toilet purposes and not to put a too finer point on it would you want to shower in such a room after its been used by half the site for their morning constitutional, absolutely disgusting.

Brought grandchildren to see the caves.
We had a pleasant two nights stay and children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Lovely relaxed campsite, well laid out pitches and friendly helpful staff.
Easy access from the campsite to mountain trails for walkers and local pub in easy walking distance with good homemade food and welcoming landlord and landlady.
Would recommend.
