Set in 140 acres of beautiful East Sussex countryside, Fontmills Farm Campsite is the perfect place to take a step back from reality and enjoy an idyllic rural stay in our 20 acre meadow field or glamping site.
Based on a family run farm, the campsite can be found in the low Weald of East Sussex between the popular towns of Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells.
Whether youre looking for an al fresco home from home, rest from the city, magical mini break or action-packed family holiday, there are 30 spacious pitches in our camping field allowing you to wake up with the birds and fall asleep under the stars.
There are 30 pitches on the campsite and weve made them all big enough for more than one tent or small campervan, so you can camp together with friends and family if you wish.
Nothing says ‘camping more than sitting by an open fire on a magical, moonlit evening and for that reason we provide fire pits for you to use on site.
We also chop plenty of wood on the farm to ensure theres always a bag of logs ready for your marshmallows.
The most memorable days usually end with the dirtiest clothes, so weve made sure our campsite offers the best of the basics - four flushing toilets, two compost toilets and three showers - and most importantly… plenty of hot water!
Weve also got two separate undercover wash-up areas to clean the dishes, one complete with a freezer for ice packs!
If youre looking for the ultimate staycation we also have three fully furnished bell tents and two shepherds huts on site in our glamping field.
From walking countryside trails and cycling along the tree-lined Cuckoo Trail to visiting local attractions including some of Sussexs most iconic pubs, coastlines and villages, Fontmills Farm Campsite is located within a hub of excitement.

Nearby Attractions
Walk or cycle along The Cuckoo Trail, an old railway track between Heathfield and Polegate that is located at the bottom of our farm. East Sussex Country Council and Sustrans transformed the disused line into a 14 mile path that is just perfect for riding your bike or strolling along in total safety, with no fear of cars.
Keep the kids entertained for hours at Knockhatch Adventure Park and Farm. Enjoy a family day out at Drusillas, the best small zoo in the country!
We are also only a few miles from Eastbourne if you fancy a day on the beach. The South Downs are even nearer and the beautiful village of Alfriston is a perfect place to visit and enjoy a pub lunch. Shopping destinations, Brighton, Hastings, Battle and Tunbridge Wells are also within 20 miles.
