Huntstile is an organic arable farm, set in an elevated position in the foothills of the Quantocks, overlooking Bridgwater Bay and the surrounding open fields.
As a working family farm we raise chickens, ducks and pigs on a domestic scale and grow over 450 acres of organic cereal crops including wheat, barley, beans, peas and spelt.
CAMPING
Our campsite is quite basic - there is a mains water stand pipe and a wonderful roundhouse in the orchard to shelter from the midday sun (hopefully!)
Showers and toilets in the heated cabin next to the Cafe on the driveway, and 4 showers in the trailer on the campsite as well as 4 mains flushing toilets.
PLEASE NOTE: You can only dispose of waste in the ELSAN point if you use green toilet liquid
There is a communal fridge with a small freezer box for ice blocks and a microwave for your use.
We have 3 x 10amp electrical hook-ups
There is one hard-standing pitch with one of our 10amp hook-ups (2 hard-standing pitches in the same place, if you are travelling together)
BREAKFAST, bacon rolls, coffee etc. are available to buy between 08:30 - 10:00 from the cafe on the drive, plus fresh bread, fruit, milk, butter, fresh farm eggs and bacon along with ice cream, beers, ciders and soft drinks, prosecco and wines. We also sell firewood and charcoal
Glorious countryside and lovely walks.
GLAMPING, LOG CABINS AND GYPSY WAGONS:
We also have Glamping in the grounds and the farmhouse at Huntstile which dates back to 1430 and has many interesting and original features.
Huntstile is just 2.5 hours drive from London, and only a 10 minute drive from junction 24 of M5.
