Buckden Camping and Pods at Heber Farm in the heart of real dales life
We provide camping at two locations around the farmhouse hub facilities; a certified Caravan & Camping Club site with hard standing for five units accessed through the Yorkshire Dales National Park Car Park, and meadowland tent pitches alongside four comfortable camping pods, close to the river and Dales Way footpath behind the farmhouse.
At the heart of picturesque Upper Wharfedale, not far from the source of the river Wharf, our working farm in the village of Buckden is owned by the National Trust and has been tenanted by us, Garry and Gillian Schofield, since 1994.
With stunning walks to take your breath away, we promise you fresh air and fun. Waterfalls, limestone wonders, secluded ghylls are on hand along with a host of tourist attractions to visit within easy driving distance, so there is always plenty to see and do.
Our farm yard facilities include a toilet and power shower plus pot-washing facilities.
A fridge,freezer and microwave is also available in our camping kitchen.
Alongside a clothes drying room for use by all of our guests.
On the meadow site for tents and Pods,a shower pod,toilets and further pot wash is available.
This year we are offering four family pods with on site facilities.
The Highland and Swaledale Pods - Our furnished family pods comes with outside decking,supplied with a mattress covered seating area that folds down to make a bed, a kettle is provided with access to a fridge and freezer.
Simply bring your own bedding and feel right at home.
The Galloway and Whitepark Pods - Our larger furnished family pods with outside decking comes supplied with a mattress covered seating area that converts to a sleeping platform, a kettle and fridge is provided.

The latest in cool camping, our pods each sleep up to 4 and 5 people and offer electricity, lighting and heating, a three pin plug, a table and two chairs for the ultimate in easy camping.
Spacious and secure the pods are insulated wooden units which provide warm and cosy accommodation whatever the weather. The roofing material is designed to eliminate noise and enhanced by natural sheep wool insulation, it ensures the pod is warm in cold weather and cool when it gets hot!
We welcome all tents great and small, some with EHUs,against the glorious backdrop of the North Yorkshire Dales.
And our simple camping and caravan club site with EHUs is a haven for anyone wanting to escape the hurly burly of town.
Based in the location of the popular T.V program "All Creatures Great and Small." We have wonderful scenery and many walks direct from the site with a friendly pub serving food just opposite the site.

Situated right on the Dales Way, we have an abundance of walks straight from our site
Why not follow the Dales Way river walk to Kettlewell and catch the ventura bus back after a pint in the local pub
Cyclists why not check out the spectacular road race route up Kidstone Pass featured in the Tour de France Le Grande Depart in 2014, or take your mountain bike up the challenging Buckden Pike.
Pop down to Long Ashes Spa for some pampering, swim, sauna or gym just 10 miles down the dale
Saddle up just 7 miles down the road for happy hacking, intrepid trekking or a gentle river ride for beginners. Kilnsey Riding centre
The Bradford City Angling Association has three lengths of the River Wharfe at Buckden giving around 3 miles of fly fishing A rod of 7.5 to 8 feet is about right for this part of the River Wharfe Cost: £8 per day

From the South
Follow the B6160 into the village of Buckden and fork left at the village green junction, with an immediate left turn into farmyard. The campsite has a large Buckden Camping sign located on the farm yard barn clearly visible from the road.
From the North
Follow the B6160 into the village of Buckden and on entering the village, turn right opposite the white-painted Village Stores and immediately left into the sign posted farm yard.
