Town Farm is a working farm run by the Leach family since the early 1930s. We opened a small campsite in the Spring of 2009. Each year since weve made small changes to improve our facilities and guest experience but were careful to hold onto our roots as a rural and non-commercial campsite. Well do our very best to ensure you have a wonderful stay in the Chilterns!
The farm enjoys fantastic views of the surrounding countryside including the local landmark - Ivinghoe Beacon, which marks the start of the famous Ridgeway Walk.
For our guests we have two facilities buildings, each featuring:
- Male and Female Toilets, wash basins and hand dryers - Hot indoor Showers (push button operated) - Washing up facilities
Also: Disabled Shower and Toilet Coin operated Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer Chemical Waste Disposal Electrical Hook-ups (for Caravans, Motorhomes, Campervans and Trailer Tents only) Internet (subject to demand) Public Powerpoints (for recharging etc. - items left at own risk) Communal Fridge and Freezer (Please bag and label all items) Play Area & Play Trail
We pride ourselves on our friendly staff, pristine facilities and breath-taking surroundings.
NOTE: We're closed for tent camping from the end of September. Open for caravans / motorhomes / campervans only throughout October Thursday to Sunday nights only
Nearby Attractions
The Chiltern Hills are a few minutes away, together with the Ridgeway Path and Ivinghoe Beacon.
The farm is close to the Grand Union Canal with the towpath and boat trips available.
We are an easy trip to London by train in 50 minutes.
Locally, we are twenty minutes to the Snow Dome and the indoor Skate Park (http://www.thexc.co.uk/) in Hemel Hempstead, and ten minutes to Whipsnade Safari Park.
The Natural History Museum in Tring is only five miles away. Free entry, good for a wet day, it is one of the finest collections of stuffed mammals, birds, reptiles and insects in the UK.
