My teenage son and I stayed for a couple of nights in August. This is a wonderful campsite which I would highly recommend. The staff are very helpful.
Everything is clean and well thought out. The games room has 3 table football units and a couple of table tennis tables and you can borrow bats and balls with a deposit.
I would certainly return.
It is very close to Whipsnade Zoo where we spent a wonderful day.
The only potential downsides are that it is very close to a road. Not overly busy though.
Also, the campsite is somewhat exposed to the winds coming off the hills, so peg your tent down well. Ours was fine in spite of some fairly hefty gusts.
So, this campsite is highly recommended by me.

Beautiful setting near to Tring and Whipsnade on high ground with views and lots of good walking in the area.
Site was quiet for our Sunday night stay, facilities were excellent, good washing and toilet blocks very clean and all working.
Separate washing up and laundry with freezers for extra storage. Check in was easy, check out by 11am.
Recommended but could get very busy in peak season as many fields were available for camping, so check

Stayed on this site right over the late May bank holiday. For families who want to let the kids run riot and let off steam - this site is awesome.
For us, this wasn't the case. We also had a hardstanding pitch which all looked really small and back onto the games hall which was extremely loud with the aforementioned kids thoroughly enjoying themselves.
We would avoid this site in the future.
HOWEVER, that is because we are a couple with no kids and went on a bank holiday week.
When you actually look at the target audience of this site, and the facilities the owners have provided - it is really quite excellent. It's almost reminiscent of a festival - certainly in terms of atmosphere.
There are a number of camping fields with loads of space for groups (outward bound / Duke of Ed / scouts etc) as well as individuals.
They also have mobile food / drinks vans turn up which is very handy.
The only other thing I'd mention is that the site it situated on the top of a hill and when windy, it really does whip across the top. You might want to bear this in mind when choosing where to pitch.
Scores are lower than they would be if we were the right target audience for use of this site.

Lovely peaceful site, with no road noise. Unfortunately, under the Luton Flight path, but this was only noticeable occasionally. The scenery was wonderful with great sunrises and sunsets and a good selection of birds.
The Rose and Crown is a delightful English Pub in Ivinghoe, which is directly accessed by a green-field half mile(ish) footpath from the site. (Bit of an up-hill climb coming back).
Cycling into Tring is 6. 5 miles, for shops, but is mostly on busy main roads.
Very personable and helpful staff and camp fires allowed as well.

A fantastic place to stay.
The staff were so helpful and the facilities were so clean and bright.
Beautiful views and the pitches were suitably far apart.
We had a really enjoyable time and will be coming back.

Very spacious site with great views over the Chilterns Hills.
Close to Tring where there are many food shops coffee shops etc and a great natural history museum which is well worth a visit.
Good shower facilities, toilets and dishwashing with hot water. Bonus room where they have freezers, electric kettles and microwave which you can use without extra charging.
Food wagons arrive during the week with pizza, fish and chips etc.
Would recommend and we will go again.

Excellent site. Great response to initial enquiry, informative website.
Grass pitch with electric hookup - wonderful views of the Chilterns.
Spotless facilities - hot showers, loos and basins. Excellent washup area with fridges, freezers, microwave, kettle, washing machine and dryer.
Visiting fish & chip van, cake stll midafternoon, easy walk to Ivinghoe Village to the pub and shop.
Play areas for children well away from units.
