This quiet, level site is just seven miles from Llangollen, and is adjacent to the restored Carrog Steam Railway Station and close to the beautiful River Dee. New for 2014 - we now have showers!!
We also now have pods to rent - see our website!
A short walk across the 15th century bridge is the Grouse Inn, serving food all day.
Llangollen Steam Railway has a regular service from Carrog to Llangollen where there are many tourist attractions.
We welcome Duke of Edinburgh groups and other organisations.
Station Camp Site is on the main ferry route from the Continent to Ireland and offers a convenient and peaceful break in your journey. We accept payment in Euros as well as Sterling.
Nearby Attractions
There are many excellent walks in the area, including on the Berwyn and Llantysilio Mountains. Also many pretty lanes for cycle rides. We are a convenient base for visiting National Trust properties and gardens, with Bodnant Gardens, Powys Castle, Chirk Castle and Errdig all easy driving distance.
Llangollen is also an easy distance, with all the attractions of that holiday town, including Plas Newydd, canal boat rides and of course Llangollen Steam Railway. Every July the International Music Eisteddfod is held in Llangollen, with a colourful parade and events daytime and evening for a whole week.

If you are travelling from Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham or London, take the A5 road from Llangollen towards Bangor. After 7 miles you will come to a right turn, signposted "Carrog" Turn right here, Station Camp Site is 300 metres on the left.
