This is a wonderfully peaceful campsite with glorious views and situated in the heart of Hadrian's Wall country
Families and dogs will all have a warm welcome on this friendly, family run site.
The campsite is located in the beautiful border county of Northumberland and access is really straightforward from the M6 and the M1/ A1. It's a realistic holiday destination from Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow and the historic city of Carlisle is only 40 minutes away.
The nearest market town of Haltwhistle, famous for its "centre of Britain" location is only a 10 minute drive away with a range of lovely shops, pubs and restaurants. There are regular bus and train services to Newcastle and Carlisle.
Hadrian's wall campsite is the closest campsite to the best section of Hadrian's wall. You can simply leave the site on foot, turn right and touch the most northern boundary of the roman empire within a 15 minute walk. The views and the landscaping are breathtaking all year round.
This campsite is a small, friendly, picturesque site The owners' aim is to provide a location that allows you to experience the wonderful nature that surrounds it and to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing holiday to improve your wellbeing. It's all about getting back to nature.
The facilities are well maintained and kept spotlessly clean and there is a big focus on trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
There is a small campsite shop and cafe, together with a bunk barn. There are two decent traditional Northumbrian pubs within walking distance.

Owner Directions
From the West take the Greenhead turning left off the A69 then right on to the B6318 (Military road). Continue, passing the Milecastle Inn. Turn right after the pub at the brown Hadrian's wall campsite sign towards Melkridge. The campsite is less than 1/2 mile on the left hand side. From the East (best route for caravans) take the A68 north off the A69 towards Chollerford. Take the B6318 travelling West. Pass the Twice Brewed Inn and The Sill on your left and take the next left at the brown tourist sign. For cars and campervans travelling from the East, continue on the A69. There is a staggered crossroads at a speed camera with Melkridge signposted to the left. Take the right hand turn and follow the road for 2 miles. We are on the right
