Fox Covert Campsite is just nine miles from the centre of York, the site offers excellent facilities for campers and caravanners. With great amenities and a lovely, quiet setting, its a fantastic location for a country camping holiday.
Our site is on the edge of the Huby village and is a huge grassy area with a number of fire pits with toilet and showering facilities as well as an emptying point and we also have electric hook up points, if desired.
We are dog friendly but would ask that dogs are kept on leads at all times and owners respect the site by cleaning up after their pets using the bins provided.
We want you to feel relaxed so happy for you to have music playing, however, we would ask that this is turned down at 11pm to respect the local areas residents.
NEW for 2024 - we have cabins for rental, if you prefer some more comfort to camping! Everything you need inside, from plates, cups, cutlery, games, bedding, firepit etc. Plenty of room for a family of four!
The local amenities which are within walking distance include a couple of local pubs, a park and postoffice / newsagents.
There are many lovely walks to suit all abilities and also cycling, which is popular due to flat countryside.
Fox Covert is about 4 miles from the beautiful and picturesque village of Easingwold near the North Yorkshire Moors with plenty of shops and places to eat, as well as a cinema.
Thirsk, is also close by and York is located 9 miles away from the site. Other attractions include the Hamilton Hills offering lots of lovely walks.

York is only 9 miles away and there are lots of things, york castle, railway museum,c anal boat trips,and plenty more.
Thirsk is 15miles away and is another beautiful place with plenty of attractions and a old town centre that has a market.
Easingwold is 4 miles away it as plenty of shops, public houses,it as a small market one day a week.
