Nice campsite, and close for York races.
Field we were in needed the grass cutting,
But it was a quiet site with plenty of room for the kids to play.

Very friendly site,
Facilities were adequate but could do with some outside lighting in the toilet/shower area as I felt a little vulnerable at night,
Also could have done with the grass being cut shorter as was very wet and slippery underfoot from the heavy dew in the morning.

The campsite was really peaceful and Val was so friendly and helpful.
It was perfect! Toilets and showers were great.
Location was great, close to shops within a short driving distance and some nice walks in the area.
Cost was extremely reasonable.

Very basic site but this is reflected in the price.
Relaxed and friendly host.
We enjoy having a chat around the firepit on a night and as long as the noise didn't disturb others there was no problem with this.
Don't forget to take your own toilet roll!
The village was lovely and can highly recommend food at the pub.

Great space for camping and the kids had plenty of space to play football and rounders.
Close to a road which was noisy during the day and evening but quiet at night.
Only one toilet open but reluctantly the owner opened the second toilet after some persuading. You need your own toilet paper.
No washing up facilities which is a shame as there is plenty of space for it at the site. The two showers were basic but warm.

Site was rural and perfectly placed for viviting York and the coast.
Basic facilities - only one toilet was open for a site that filled up quickly over the weekend and no dishwashing facility.
No bins on first day, although owner said they were there (another camper also asked if we knew where bins were!).
We have a VW camper and 4m bell tent, I stated this on my original email and was charged accordingly.
Owner on last day then said she should have charged more because it was a tent not an awning.
Lovely site, would stay again

Friendly welcome. Helpful shop with basic requirements.
Great location for York, racecourse, Beningbrough and more.
Local pub with fantastic bar meals a mile walk down a reasonably quiet road.
Need a torch at night though!

Found this lovely little site recently and loved it so much we're going back this weekend! It is so quiet it was easy to relax. It's near enough to York so you can enjoy it too.
It should be noted that the site now has showers and electric
The owners are always available to give recommendations about the area.
Would definitely recommend!
