Common End Farm is a small site, 3 miles to the west of Ashbourne, 5 miles from Alton towers. Set on a 1.8 acre grassed field to the rear of the barns and farmhouse the site overlooks surrounding fields with some views reaching across to Thorpe Cloud.
It provides a quiet and rural setting from which to explore the southern Peak District National Park. A traditional stone barn has been sympathetically converted to provide modern ladies and gents toilet and shower facilities. Our covered pot wash area provides 4 sinks with hot and cold water taps, a freezer and information board. Its rustic feel ensures it blends in well with its natural environment.
Children are welcome. Dogs are also welcome with responsible owners and must be kept on leads at all times.

We have just a few indoor storage spaces remaining. Rates are £120 per quarter.
Tariffs:
Caravan or Tent, 2 people, 1 car - £26 per night
(add £4 for 6amp electric pitches, add £9 for 10amp electric pitches)
Dogs, cars, children, adults, £2 - £7 per night.

We allow open fire baskets and have baskets to rent and log nets to purchase from reception.
Fire baskets to rent from £14 for 1 night (includes logs and kindling). Subsequent nights can be booked on purchase of a replacement bag of logs at £8.50 per night

Nearby Attractions
Located at this most southern tip of the Peak District National Park the quiet and rural location offers an ideal base from which visitors, walkers and cyclists can explore the beautiful scenery and surrounding villages and attractions.
The historic market town of Ashbourne is 3 miles to the east.
Alton Towers is 5 miles to the west.
The Tissington and Manifold cycle trails are within 3 miles
Dovedale and the famous stepping stones are only a 3 mile walk using the network of public footpaths which run adjacent to the site.
Chatsworth offers a full day out for all visitors and is a 40 minute drive from us.

By Car (from east)
- From Ashbourne, signs for A52 Leek (Alton Towers). Through Mayfield for 1 1/2 miles until enter Swinscoe. Pass the Dog and Partridge pub on the left, 1/2 mile on we are on the right hand side marked by a green sign
By Car (from west)
- On leaving Stoke follow signs for the A52 to Ashbourne. On reaching cross roads right to Ashbourne, straight over to Ilam, turn right and after ½ mile you will find us on the left marked by a green sign.
By Rail - Derby Station is 30 minutes by car
By Bus - Services operate from Derby bus station with local services to Swinscoe
