This is a quiet site for families and couples, ideally located for visiting York and the surrounding area. Whilst we welcome children please be aware that we have no designated play areas for ball games etc. The road and hardstandings are angular gravel and as such they are unsuitable for children`s bikes and scooters.
PLEASE NOTE, WE HAVE NO SHOWER OR TOILET FACILITIES.
Although we are now a Listed Site with The Camping and Caravanning Club we have retained all the charm of a Certificated Site.
Our pitch price from the 1st of February 2023 are (unfortunately due to increased electricity costs)
1 to 3 nights is £23 per night,
4 to 6 nights is £22 per night,
7 to 9 nights is £21 per night
10 nights or more is £20 per night.
ALL pricing includes 16amp EHU, 2 adults, children up to the age of 18, an unheated awning, WiFi, dogs and car (additional cars where available space allows). Any extra adults are £2.50pn.
Electrically heating of awnings is discouraged and therefore charged at £10.00 per night.
Minimum stays.
Easter and New Year are a minimum 4 night booking.
All other bank holidays are a minimum 3 night booking.
Most weekends from are a minimum 2 nights, except where this balances pitch booking numbers or at short notice. Please call Martin on 07717754648 for any short notice booking enquiries.
ALL PITCH FEES are the same throughout the year.

WE HAVE A CIRCULAR ACCESS ROAD TO 15 HARD-STANDING PITCHES, ENABLING US TO TAKE ADVANCE BOOKINGS FOR CARAVANS AND MOTOR-HOMES THROUGHOUT THE WINTER SEASON, ALL WITH 16A EHU.
We are on the outskirts of the lovely villages of Nether and Upper Poppleton, yet within walking distance of great restaurants and local pubs. The site is close to excellent public transport links to York and Harrogate and has a dedicated cycle route from outside the site into York city centre and to many other destinations.
We allow dogs providing they are well behaved, but must kept on a lead at all times whilst on site. Dogs must not be left unattended if they are likely to cause a disturbance to others.
We are a Camping and Caravanning Club Listed Site and welcome visitors all year round in tourers and motor-homes. You do not have to be a member of any Club to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage Caravan Site.
The field is flat and very well drained. We have fifteen spacious pitches available (approx. 15m X 12m all with 16 amp EHU)

Nearby Attractions
We are only 3 miles from the historic city of York with it`s many attractions (please see visityork.org).
Within walking distance are Maxi`s Chinese, Wetherby Whaler Fish and Chip Restaurants and a Beefeater Bar and Grill. There are four village pubs, all serving traditional ales and bar meals. We can highly recommend the Lord Nelson and White Horse pubs nearby and booking in advance is advisable for both at peak times.
Also in walking distance is the Poppleton Social (at the Poppleton Community Centre), a popular cafe during the weekdays and licensed bar most evenings (inc Friday and Saturday nights) serving wood fired pizzas.
A couple of miles away or a 20 min cycle ride (mainly off road) is the excellent Al Volo Italian restaurant on Rufforth Airfield.

Turn off the A1237 at the roundabout signposted Nether Poppleton. (BP Garage and Honda Dealership on your left, adjacent to roundabout) At next junction turn right, sign posted Nether Poppleton again, (underpass of the A1237) on to Millfield Lane. The campsite is around 300 Meters on your left.
