We have just spent 3 days at cherry tree cottage campsite and what a pleasure it was. The hosts were friendly and able to offer advise us of local public transport.
The site was very neat and tidy with plenty of room given to every pitch. Planting around the site offered privacy and had encourage bird life to flourish.
Their information shed offered not only book swaps and information around the area but a variety of home made jams and chutneys to buy My husband reported that the elsan point was clean and easy to use.
Great transport links by bus to York from just outside of the site and train access after a 20 minute walk to Harrogate if not wanting to use your own vehicle.
We would stay here again

Very well laid out site run by lovely friendly people.
Quite quiet and had everything we needed.
Convenient to get into the city and also convenient to get to in the first place as it is on the ring road.
It appears to have a lot of returning customers which is always a good sign

There is nothing to dislike about this immaculate site.
Spacious hard standing bays separated by hedges and grass.
A regular bus into York right outside or a safe cycle lane.
Some road noise during the day but very quiet at night.
£21 a night including electric but a discount will be given if electric is not needed.

Such a well organised site - perfect for our needs.
Stopping one night as we passed through the area. Easy to book.
Clear instructions on arrival / where to pitch / how to pay. It’d all been very well thought through.
Just the job.

Small campsite, well maintained.
No showers or toilets but price reflects this.
Next to cycle route into York or bus stop just down road.
Would stay here again

This site is in a great location.
The pitches are level and in general the site is kept in very tidy condition.
The owner Martin is very pleasant, chatty and helpful. In fact he came to our rescue when while jacking up our caravan to change a wheel I managed to get my jack stuck under our van. He fetched his trolly jack and raised our van enough to free my jack then assisted me in changing the wheel.
Well done Martin and thanks again.

Great location, extremely tidy and well finished site.
No toilet and shower block (not a criticism as we knew this before we booked and used our own). plenty of water points around the site,
On a bus route into York and 5 minutes drive to park and ride.
Not a site for kids to play ball games etc but fantastic park and open space at the far end of the village (5 minutes drive) Great value for money.
Liked the notice board with arrival pack on for guests to collect on the way in.
Bucket to use to sort your recycling was a nice touch, as was the summer house with info, book swap, DVDS, eggs and preserves for sale.
Owners were very lovely, helpful and friendly and we will definitely be back.
