This is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location, which accepts just five caravans or motorhomes and is for Club Members only.

Cherry Cottage CL is a quiet and peaceful CL, located on the outskirts of the small village of Middlemarsh, in central Dorset, 7 miles south of the beautiful town of Sherborne.
An ideal location to explore the countryside made famous in Thomas Hardy novels, the Dorset coast and surrounding counties.
We are open all year and provide 2 hard standing and 3 lawn pitches with views of surrounding farmland and distant woodland. The pitches are perfectly positioned to watch the amazing sunsets whilst you relax.

Dogs are welcome to enjoy the onsite dog walk around our hay meadow (on leads). There are numerous walking opportunities including a nice walk to the village pub following public footpaths across a couple fields (dog and child friendly).
Scheduled bus can be caught from our site entrance (Mon-Fri)
The Dorset country lanes provide great cycling routes, with ideal stop offs at local cafes or pubs for refreshments.
Nearby Attractions
The site is situated 7 miles south of Sherborne, a beautiful small market town, which combines history, culture and hosts numerous events throughout the year. Explore the Abbey, one of the two castles or simply relax in a coffee shop after a spot of shopping in Cheap Street.
The county town of Dorchester is 14 miles to the south, where you will find some of the best preserved Roman ruins, moments away from the high street. Visit one of the 8 museums or take a trip to the cinema.
A scheduled bus service passes the site entrance connecting Sherborne and Dorchester, so you can leave your vehicle on site. The bus connects to mainline train stations in both towns so day trips to Weymouth, Exeter, Salisbury or further afield are possible.
There are plenty of lovely village pubs in the locality, the closest being a short walk away via a public footpath. Most local pubs are dog friendly.
The stunning Minterne Gardens are only a short drive away, as is the historic village of Cerne Abbas and its famous giant.
