 We liked this peaceful quiet site for a few days break to meet up with friends.
It is probably better suited to caravanners who have a car to go out in.
Bus was only 2 hourly and not very reliable. We tried the walk to the pub but it was too overgrown with nettles and brambles so gave up.
Owners are very helpful but do generate a lot of paperwork with all their rules.

Another relaxing stay at this gem of a site. Fully serviced pitches, Toilet, Fast Wi-Fi, picnic tables, information hut.
Perfectly manicured grass along with two hard standings and all set in glorious countryside.
Plenty to visit including Sherborne and it's castles, Mintern Gardens, Cerne Abbas and it's giant, Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole, West Bay and Lyme Regis to name just a few.
Lovely owners, it's no wonder you have to book early.

Perfect CL, lovely owners, beautiful lawned site with two hard standings and three grass pitches.
First time on a grass pitch that was perfectly level. All fully serviced with WiFi and good TV signal.
Luxury of a toilet and washing machine as well. Easy access off the main road with good entrance and security gating.
All set in a glorious peaceful countryside setting within easy reach of numerous local attractions and a short distance to the wonderful Dorset beaches.
Why stay on a club site when you have all this for half this price.

Stayed at this CL for four nights
The facilities were impeccably maintained
Pitches had been manicured to a high standard
Tranquil and peaceful
Surrounding area has plenty of interesting places to visit especially Sherborne
The owners were helpful both on arrival and throughout our stay
Would have no hesitation in recommending the site to others

Enjoyed a 3 night break at this excellent CL 6 miles from Sherborne in Dorset. There’s 5 pitches, 2 of which are hard standing. All have EHU.
Nearby are the waste and refuse disposal areas, also a info hut with book exchange. Nearer the main house are the laundry area and toilet.
This began life as a campsite in June this year, and everything is pristine, the grass being like a bowling green! Being out in the country, it’s very quiet at night, and if the skies are clear, you can enjoy the great views of the stars.
There is a bus that runs past the gate, but not at weekends, so we used beaver cabs to get to and from Sherborne which were very reasonable. The bus also goes to Dorchester.
We can recommend Sherborne, a beautiful, friendly town, with many sights, shops, and eating places. There’s also a rail station, and don’t miss the abbey which is incredible. Al in all we loved our visit to cherry cottage, lynn and her family are great hosts, and have worked hard to make this a great place to stay. We will be back.
PS forgot to mention the nearby pub, which does great food. Lynn has a detailed route so you can walk across the fields.
There’s a shorter walk, but it means using the main road for several hundred yards, which has no pavement, so a yellow vest is useful, Friday nights are curry nights, and they do a very good curry indeed, enjoy!,
