Welcome to the Stanah House Caravan Park on UKcampsire.co.uk, we are a small caravan site situated on the picturesque River Wyre. This family run business has been trading for over 30 years now.
We offer space for tents, touring caravans and a place to store your caravan.
We have 50 pitches available with water and electricity hook ups at the ready.
No matter which way your caravan faces you will be able to see the magnificent views of the hills and meadows.
Staying at our caravan site feels like you're in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by hills and fields. However taking a 5 minute walk from the entrance takes you back in to civilization and the bus (87) which stops at the end of the road takes you to the sea side town of Cleveleys or the historic town of Poulton, from these two towns you can catch the bus/tram easily to the centre of Blackpool.
At the entrance to the park there is a large car park with an excellent cafe and a boat jettison point which many people use to take their speed boats and jet skis on to the river.
Nearby Attractions
The area around the park is notoriously famous for its wildlife, bird watchers come from all over the UK to view the rare birds nesting along the river and in the surrounding fields.
Being so close to Blackpool we have numerous attractions on our doorstep including The Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Hounds Hill shopping center, The Sea Life center, The Sandcastle and there are more attractions situated throughout Blackpool. If you go the other way and head towards Fleetwood there is Freeport Shopping center which offers a wide variety of clothing outlets and stores or the Fleetwood Museum.
Less then a mile away from where we are is the town of Thornton which houses restaurants and take-aways including 2 award winning fish and chips restaurants and numerous Chinese take-aways, if you require a menu please nip in to the caravan site shop.

Directions to the site :-
IF APPROACHING FROM THE SOUTH:
Leave the M6 at junction 32, joining the M55 until you reach junction 3. Follow the signs for Fleetwood on the A585.At the traffic lights near the Shell petrol station bear right. Go straight through the next set of traffic lights until you reach a roundabout by the River Wyre Hotel. At this roundabout turn right for Little Thornton and Stanah Picnic Area. After 1 mile there is a school on your right and a mini roundabout ahead, turn right into Stanah Road. Continue through the second mini roundabout which leads onto River Road. You will arrive at the Wyre Estuary Country Park, the site entrance is the third on the right.
