Outdoors@hay is an Outdoor Adventure provider in Hay on Wye, UK and we have a passion for everything outdoors and everyone who feels the same!
Our outdoor centre situated just outside Hay on Wye within easy walking distance of the town`s shops, pubs & restaurants and is a great base to explore Hay on Wye and the surrounding area.
You can book our beautiful Lodge that sleeps 12, our Yurt with Wood burning stove or stay in a fully kitted out Bell tent on our peaceful private campsite.
We are primarily an outdoor centre with camping on site for our activity groups. We are generally open most weekends in peak season and through school holiday periods. Although we do close when we have no activity groups staying with us and sometimes we have `sole use` for some groups.
Therefore as we are not open at all times please contact us for availability and to book prior to arrival so we don`t disappoint you.
Our attractive grounds provide plenty of space to make the most of camping in Hay on Wye. The site is designed to meet the needs of `traditional` campers wanting to relax following an adventurous day in the outdoors.
By traditional we mean that we do not have electricity available, chemical toilet disposal, manicured grass, a shop, playgrounds or over illuminate the site.
That said we do have a clean quiet site that allows fires with excellent toilet facilities and wonderful hot showers!
For those wishing to cook or relax by a fire to get a real camping experience, `Raised Fires` can be hired. If you do bring your own equipment it must be raised so as not to scorch the grass

During the high season and the Hay festival we open our on-site bar. It is not always open, so please enquire during booking about opening times.
As well as camping we offer a great choice of alternative accommodation in the form of pre-erected tents for those wishing to try something different.

Besides being in the legendary town of intellectuals & bookshops, Hay on Wye is on the River Wye & in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Our site is within easy walking distance of the town`s shops, pubs & restaurants and is a great base to explore Hay on Wye and the surrounding area.
To find our site from Hay follow all signs for Brecon through the town until you see Wye Valley Business Park on your right. Just after this is a junction on your left with a sign for `Llanigon`. Take this turning left and we are 1/2 a mile up there on the right.
