Set in one of Exmoor's most beautiful coastal locations, Caffyns Farm offers peace, seclusion, space, and stunning panoramic views over the surrounding hills and valleys, the Valley of the Rocks, Lee Bay and across the sea to Wales. And yet we are easily accessible, less than ten minutes from Lynton and Lynmouth and close to all the North Devon and Exmoor towns, villages, tourist attractions, beaches and countryside.
Camping, here gives you the perfect base to do whatever you want...walking (South West Coast Path and Tarka Trails nearby), touring, riding (from our own stables), cycling (we have our own bike hire), or just relaxing in our acres of tranquil countryside.
We have excellent facilities - our completely, newly refurbished facilities block is now open, providing ample free hot showers, modern gents and ladies toilets, sinks, disabled toilet, family changing room and shower, laundry, fridge/freezer, microwaves, and washing up facilities - and we have a good range of everday camping supplies in our new on-site shop. There are water standpipes in the fields.
The sheer 160 acre size of Caffyns means we can offer several areas within the property for camping, from secluded and very sheltered to out in the open with huge panoramic views to sea and over the Valley of the Rocks.
Our fields are very spacious and almost completely flat, something everyone has commented on. The fields are also inter-linked by proper tracks so vehicle access is easy.
We have five main fields, three of which are ideal for family camping as they are close to all facilities, well sheltered, and completely enclosed, giving children ample space to play, but allowing parents to keep an eye on them!
And while on one hand, we can accommodate very large groups with absolutely no impact on other campers, if you like secluded camping, we have ample space for that too!
We have also just sub-divided two of the main fields with grassed banks to provide more intimate camping areas.
We can also take large tents with no problems at all.
We allow campfires in all our fields and polite dogs are also welcome.
We are also very flexible about camping arrangements and will happily take visitors on a day-to-day basis.
