Ling`s Meadow is all about a slower pace of life - whether it be lying among the tall meadow grasses listening to bird song, or stargazing around an open fire. It is also a celebration of the great outdoors, where you can lose yourself in bug hunting, den building, kite flying and campfire cooking.
The campsite is surrounded by our 80 acre farm where we grow herbal leys, wild flower meadows and clover mixes for wildlife.
A StarDome, two Slow camping bell tents and and six pitches are set in a peaceful natural meadow.
The StarDome is fully furnished. Linen is provided but please bring towels. It is equipped with everything from cooking equipment and a fire pit with grill to a selection of good books!
You could also choose to book a Slow camping base camp. The camp includes an empty bell tent with coir mat floor, a canvas tarp shelter, fire pit with hanging grill, picnic bench and outdoor cooking kit. We include a kindling rocket stove, kelly kettle and set of cast iron pans.
Each of the six tent pitches has its own cut grass area of the meadow with enough space for a large family tent. Fire pit and picnic bench at each pitch.
The campsite is very much ‘off grid` and has been lovingly developed with sustainability in mind Two luxury composting toilets and a separate wood heated shower are provided in purpose built wooden pods.
