Rendlesham campsite sits quietly within the beautiful wooded surroundings of Rendlesham Forest. Formerly known as TANGHAM Campsite (Forest Camping) this 10 acre site can accommodate 90 mixed pitches for caravan, motorhomes and camping.
Guests can visit the location for the legendary UFO sighting from December 1980 and enjoy the diverse and ever changing landscape of Suffolk`s coast and heath which makes this a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
Enjoy a low-lying coast of shingle and sand, ancient woodland, forest, lowland heaths, farmland, valley meadowlands, estuaries, marshes, and historic towns and villages.
Nearby Attractions
The site has direct access to cycling, walking and hiking trails, which leads you into the rich and varied forest of Rendlesham and Tangham.
We recommend the F.I.D.O cycle trail as a great introduction to the forests history and links to RAF Woodbridge used in WWII, along with the UFO and Phoenix trails for those who appreciate a shorter route. The is a great children`s play area in the forest, which can be easily accessed from the campsite.
Guests can visit Britain`s happiest place to live, enjoying all that the market town of Woodbridge can offer, including artisan shops, cafes, restaurants and walks along the river Deben.
The awe inspiring Anglo-Saxon burial ground of Sutton-Hoo is a short drive away with plenty to see and do for the whole family.

Owner Directions
From Woodbridge follow the A12, and join the A1152 to Melton. Crossing the traffic lights and on over a railway crossing next to Ruebens Deli (on right), the road leads on passed The Wilford Bridge Pub (on left) and over the River Deben to a small round about. Turning left onto the B1084, you will drive through the villages of Bomswell and past Woodbridge rugby club for another 3 miles until you reach Butley Woods on your left. The turning to Rendlesham Forest is on your right hand side, follow the road down to the bottom and the campsite can be found on your left hand side.
