Driftways Glamping and Meadow Camping site is based at Moat Farm, in the heart of the East Anglian countryside and is surrounded by farmland. Even though it feels like youre in the middle of nowhere, the site provides easy access to a huge range of attractions and amenities across the local area.
There are 12 spacious pitches, 5 individual bell tents for glamping and 7 oversize camping areas mowed into the meadow grass. All pitches have their own clean compost toilet, campfire area, picnic bench and cooking area. Each glamping structure also has a fully equipped kitchenette and own device charging facilities. Shared hot gas and solar-powered showers are available nearby for all guests to use.
Nearby there are a wide range of walking and cycling routes including the Woodland Trusts Tyrells Wood just 1/3 mile away.
Site owners Vanessa and Andrew aim to provide guests with comfort in nature with an off-grid glamping and camping experience and therefore the site aims to be as eco as possible. Recycling bins are provided but guests are politely asked to keep glass usage to a minimum.
The site is across the lane to our smallholding and ‘The Dairy provides access to plug sockets and a fridge and freezer. Shop items/extras can be purchased by contacting the site owners.
Driftways is pet friendly and allows dogs for a small nightly fee.
Worth noting
Driftways is in a Rural countryside location yet centrally based, truly the best of both worlds. Each spacious pitch features its own clean compost toilet, camp kitchen and campfire area.
The reason that we love living here is that we feel like were living in the middle of nowhere, yet we are only a short drive, walk or cycle from amenities and attractions. The best of both worlds!
Driftways Glamping & Camping is in Pulham Market, which together with Pulham St Mary forms 'The Pulhams', we are almost equidistant between Pulham Market and Long Stratton - both are approximately 3 miles away.
We're within 0.5 miles of 40 acre Tyrells Wood, which has a popular circular route.
Goodies Food Hall and Cafe is within a mile. They stock fresh local produce and gin! They have a butchery and deli counter as well as a cafe. To be fair cafe doesn't do it justice; for those that like cream teas it is not to be missed. Goodies also do a call and collect and delivery service.
We are within 3 miles of a biggish Co-op at Long Stratton, local shops (and post offices) at both of the Pulhams, the community cafe in PSM (Pennoyer Centre) and within 5 miles of Harleston, which has a market bi-weekly and an Adnams Shop, as well as many other shops. Alternatively, major supermarkets are within 11 miles and they do deliver to us here. We're more than happy to help with a delivery.
If you fancy a night off from cooking, then there are two pubs in Pulham Market that both serve food and there are numerous takeaways in Long Stratton that deliver to us as well as a Steak House and other pubs.

Norfolk and Suffolk have a host of local attractions including; award winning beaches: Cromer, Southwold, Yarmouth, Horsey (seals), Walberswick (crabbing).
Attractions for kids (and bigger kids in some cases!): Banham Zoo, Africa Alive, Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Roarr, Pettits, Oasis Camel Park, Bressingham Steam Museum amongst others.
Shopping
We're 14 miles from central Norwich, which has a host of shops, restaurants and there are lots of lovely market towns to explore around us, such as Harleston, Wymondham and Beccles to name a few.
As you can see, we feel very lucky to live where we do and we're delighted to share any local knowledge with you, and who knows maybe you can come back and tell us about some local adventures that we haven't experienced yet!

If using sat nav use IP21 4XW, however it takes you past the site to Grove Farm. If you get to Grove Farm (on left) or Orchard Kennels (on right) then you have gone too far. Please turn around and head back. Were just after the crossroads.
From the A140 turn onto Wood Lane, go past Goodies Food Hall on your right, past Wood Farm on your left then turn left to stay on Wood Lane. Drive along Wood Lane past Tyrells Wood, on your left, and then Driftways Glamping is on your left just before the Crossroads, opposite the entrance to Moat Farm. Where the tents are!
