This is a pop-up campsite, and it may only be open for limited periods within the opening dates shown.
Tucked away in a secluded, peaceful position, away from public roads, within its own 80 acres of Devon countryside escape away from it all to Huxtable Farm.
Surrounded by open fields & woodland, you can camp exclusively on your own, on one of three designated pitches situated at three different places on the farm.
Almost Wild Camping! - but each pitch has its own private washroom.
Situated on the Tarka Trail, Huxtable Farm, nestles in the foothills of Exmoor National Park with it's Dark Sky Reserve, where you can enjoy natures wildlife, panoramic views, breath taking sunsets & starry skies - A haven for bird watchers, photographers, artists and walkers.
Explore the 80 acre farm (woodland, pasture, stream & pond) via its Devon Wildlife trail or treasure trail and meet the friendly Jacob sheep, peacocks, guineafowl & hens.
Free Wi-fi is available in the garden area and although we do not have hook up electricity, the communal room, with washing up sink and fridge/freezer, has electric points for charging phones.
There is also table football and a small shop selling Jacob sheep wool products; yarn, hand knitted hats, woven scarves, cushions & throws, in addition to homemade preserves, watercolour prints & cards by Jackie.
A Fire Pit and logs are also available for a small charge. Minimum 2 night bookings only.

An ideal hideaway for exploring the beauty of Exmoor National Park & North Devons dramatic coastline with its historic harbours Lynton/Lynmouth and Clovelly.
Whilst the historic market towns of Barnstaple & South Molton, where you can purchase provisions, are about a 15 minute drive from Huxtable Farm.
Discover National Trust Property - Arlington Court and visit the beautiful gardens of RHS Rosemoor, Marwood Hill or Castle Hill nearby.
Surf, swim, coasteering or paddle at the golden sandy beaches of Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Putsborough & Westward Ho!, Go horse riding on Exmoor, a bike ride on the Tarka Trail cycle path, wall climbing at 'Rock & Rapid' or visit one of the nearby family attractions; ‘Quince Honey Farm, ‘Exmoor Zoo and ‘Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park.
Enjoy walks from Huxtable Farm; the Tarka and Macmillan Way walking trails pass the farms entrance.

Owner Directions
Travelling via M5, come off at Junction 27 (approximately 32miles from Huxtable Farm) and follow A361 west. Take right turn signposted West Buckland & East Buckland and ‘West Buckland School (approximately 30 miles from M5 and 2 miles AFTER North Aller roundabout with the ‘North Gate Inn - DO NOT turn off A361 at the roundabout like some SAT NAVs tell you to). Drive through West Buckland village in the direction of East Buckland. The entrance to Huxtable Farm will be seen on the right opposite West Buckland School, halfway between West & East Buckland villages. Have a safe journey and we look forward to welcoming you.
