This is a pop-up campsite, and it may only be open for limited periods within the opening dates shown.
Welcome to Hillside Farm, offering a small camping meadow located on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in the heart of East Anglia.
Rustic toilet and shower facilities are provided, as is an electric car charging port.
Well-behaved dogs (and owners!) are welcome, off-ground fires permitted, and you`ll find communal space in an old cart shed, where you can relax on the sofa, enjoy a family meal protected from the elements, or charge your devices.
There`s also a small WWII museum which commemorates the American men who flew B-17`s from Knettishall airfield.
A small, friendly site on a farm in East Anglia, we are delighted to offer camping and glamping on a small slice of rural land to those wanting to escape the madding crowds.
Located in a meadow adjacent to the farmyard, choose from non-electric spacious grass pitches (10m x 5m), suitable for tents only. It`s the perfect place to experience fresh air and enjoy the wide-open spaces and stunning sunsets.
You also have the option to choose to glamp in one of our bell tents either just the tent or fully furnished. This includes a double bed, a fire pit, lanterns, fairy lights and WiFi. Guests will need to bring additional beds and bedding for a child or infant. There is patio furniture for two outside.
Toilets and showers are provided in a quirky converted horse box, which has proved very popular with guests, with complimentary eco-friendly toiletries.
Free use of the firepits is offered (currently three available). You`re able to buy a bundle of firewood.
Hillside Farm Camping is open on the following dates for 2023: 23/06 to 24/06, 30/06 to 01/07, 07/07 to 08/07, 14/07 to 15/07, 21/07 to 22/07, 25/07 to 27/08, 01/09 to 02/09 and 08/09 to 09/09.
Onsite facilities include a converted horsebox toilet and hot shower, a washing up point and a wartime museum. There is also a communal space in an old cart shed where guests are welcome. Fire pits are available and firewood on sale.
Nearby Attractions
Just a ten minute walk away in Hopton is The Vine Inn, great for a pint and they`re happy for you to bring your fish & chips in from the nearby excellent chippy. Alternatively the Mill Inn at the other end of Market Weston does lovely fresh home cooked food for a very reasonable price. For supplies, there are shops locally in Hopton (1/2 mile), Barningham (3 miles south) and Garboldisham (3 miles north).
It`s an easy reach to Norfolk`s historic market towns, the Broads and countryside and just a 15-minute drive from Banham Zoo and Bressingham Steam and Gardens.
Guests are also welcome to visit the on-site museum dedicated to the American men who flew B-17s from Knettishall airfield.

Please do not turn into the lane for Fen Farm. Instead, turn into Church Road (near the Hopton village sign) from the B1111 and take the first driveway on the right into the farmyard.
