Welcome to our tranquil family-run campsite nestled on the serene western shores of Coniston Water. Perfect for families, singles and couples, seeking a peaceful retreat in the Lake District, we do recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
Situated between Coniston and Torver, our site offers stunning views of the surrounding area.
While we provide basic amenities such as showers and toilets, please note that we do not accommodate caravans or electric hook-ups.
Chemical disposal point, adequate rubbish bins and recycling are available.
Group bookings are accepted with prior arrangement, and we also welcome Duke of Edinburgh groups of up to 20 students from Monday to Thursday.
Enjoy picturesque views and easy access to Coniston Water, The Old Man, The Coppermines, Coniston and Torver.
Nearby Coniston offers grocery shops, a butchers, post office, gift shops, pubs, cafes and takeaways, while Torver boasts The Wilsons Arms pub and Torver Deli
You will also find the nearest petrol station in Coniston.
Check in time is between 2.00pm and 7.00pm, with check out by 12 noon on your departure day.
Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash.

Explore the Ruskin Museum, home to The Bluebird, located in Coniston village. Discover the beauty of Coniston Water with a visit to Brantwood or a ride on the Gondola. Embark on a scenic walk to Coniston Old Man, starting right from the campsite. At the head of the lake, catch the Gondola or Coniston Launch and indulge in coffee and cake at the Bluebird Cafe. Enjoy a day at Coniston Boating Centre with boat, canoe, and paddleboard rentals available.
Venture to Hawkshead and Grizedale Forest, both approximately 20-30 minutes away. For Beatrix Potter enthusiasts, a visit to Hill Top in Sawrey is a must. Ulverston, a short 20-30 minute drive, offers attractions such as the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, The Hoad Monument, The Laurel & Hardy Museum, as well as various shops, pubs, and takeaways. Ambleside is also within reach, approximately 30 minutes by car, with daily bus services connecting Coniston to Hawkshead and Ambleside."
