Lowtrow Cross is a small, quiet ADULTS ONLY set unspoilt countryside on the Somerset/Devon borders and on the edge of Exmoor National Park We cater for caravans, motorhomes, and tents and aim to keep the site as natural as possible while still offering excellent, essential facilities UNSPOILT, UNCOMMERCIAL, UNCROWDED
Couples who are looking for peace and quiet will appreciate Lowtrow Cross, whether you are looking for a base to explore this beautiful area, or just for somewhere to relax in a friendly atmosphere, breath in the clean somerset air, listen to the birds and watch the sun set over the moor, then we are the perfect choice for you
We pride ourselves in our spotlessly clean facilities and well maintained site, our friendly wardens can be found working tirelessly, caring for the grounds and are alway on hand should you need their help or advice.
The well stocked tourist information has walk directions, maps, books and a lending library. Our small on site shop has all the essentials including fresh milk, local free range eggs, bacon, sausages and burgers from our local butcher, plus a few extra treats such as Exmoor honey and delicious, locally made ice creams
Well behaved dogs are most welcome free, the small on site dog walk is ideal for early or late outings where well behaved dogs may go off lead. Just up the road Haddon Hill and Wimbleball Lake offer miles of beautiful off lead walking on Haddon Hill, wander along one of the many paths with fabulous views of the lake and surrounding country or follow the path through the woods to the lake itself. Take the 7 mile footpath around the lake or if you are feeling really energetic walk the 12 mile round trip from the site.
For those who don't want to cook every or just fancy a pint after a day out without having to drive, then the Traditional Inn adjacent to the site is a must They serve home cooked food, local real ales and welcome campers with their well behaved dogs
For further information and prices visit our website or follow the link from this page.

Try pony trekking across the moor or visit Dunster with its medieval castle, Knightshayes Court, Tarr Steps the oldest clapper bridge in the country, Blue Anchor Bay, Porlock and Minehead, numerous cider farms and tea shops.
The less energetic can go for a scenic drive or take an Exmoor Safari, book a ticket on the West Somerset Railway or a ride on the Tiverton Horse drawn canal barge.
After a busy day enjoy a meal and a drink in the pub next door or just relax on site and watch the sun set over the moor.
