Camping Champ de la Chapelle is set in 16 acres adjacent to the Forest of Troncais.
The site is open from mid April until mid October and has 72 spacious pitches, 60 with 10 amp electric hookups and water supply.
The site has a swimming pool, bar/cafe, 9 hole Foot Golf course, two play areas and a teen club.
There are separate male and female sanitary facilities,disabled shower and toilet facilities, fridges for use by campers and a laundry room with washing machine.
The pitches offer a choice of shade or a more open aspect and the minimum size of pitch is 100m2, although larger pitches are available.
The surrounding area is rolling countryside, ideal for walking and cycling and fishing is available locally.
Saint Bonnet Troncais is the local village with bar, mini market, pizzeria, English speaking doctor and pharmacy. Saint Bonnet also has a lovely swimming lake with a sandy beach.
Many of the towns in the area still retain a strong medieval character, most notable being Herisson.
During the summer months there are brocantes held every weekend, most towns have local weekly markets and there are a number of events held in the grounds of nearby chateaux.
Camping Champ de la Chapelle is the perfect destination for a relaxing break but with plenty of days out for the more adventurous guests.

This is an area famous as 'la France profonde' or deep France, as this idyllic region, unspoiled by mass tourism, is known.
Rich in both scenery and history, Chateaux, Abbeys, medieval towns and villages are only a short drive away.
The local town, Saint Bonnet Tronçais, has shops, bar, pizzeria and a Doctors surgery, as well as a swimming lake with sandy beach. There are also a number of excellent restaurants to be found locally.
For the more adventurous holiday makers, horse riding, kayaking and zip wires are on offer in the surrounding area.
The region is also renowned for the quality of its rivers and lakes for angling.

MOST SAT NAVS WILL ACCEPT 'CHAMP DE LA CHAPELLE' as this is a hamlet as well as the campsite location, the postcode is 03360 The campsite is easily accessible from the A71 both from the north and from the south and then take the D2144. From the south head to Meaulne and take the D28 about 3 miles up the D28 the campsite is signposted. From the North leave A71 at exit 8 and follow signs for Montlucon all the way through Saint Amand Montrond. When you have left Saint Amand continue south on the D2144 and a mile after passing the village of L'etelon turn left onto D798A signed Saint Bonnet Troncais, after about 1.5 miles you will come to a roundabout and the campsite is signposted from there.
