Thacka Lea Caravan Park in Penrith, Cumbria is the perfect base to explore the Lake District and Eden Valley in your touring caravan or motorhome. We are located off the A6 at the north end of the small market town of Penrith.
Penrith is an attractive tourist centre, offering good transport links, specialist small shops, many restaurants, leisure and sporting facilities. Thacka Lea Caravan Park is situated on the C2C (coast to coast) cycle route.
Thacka Lea Caravan Park has been a family run business for over forty years. The Park has 25 pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes.
Pitches are available on hard standings and grass, each with electric hook-ups. The park is over three tiers, each is easily accessible to the toilet and shower block which is located on the middle tier.
The toilet and shower block has hot showers and a shaver point. Additional facilities include a washing up area, waste disposal and recycling bins.
The Park is pet friendly, but dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Within Penrith there are many traditional and specialist food, clothing and gift shops as well as many cafes, restaurants and pubs. The museum and castle give a great insight into the history of Penrith. In addition to shopping and history, Penrith has many leisure and sporting facilities to offer as well as good bus and rail transport links for days out around Cumbria.

- Exit M6 Junction 41
- Take 2nd exit B5305
- Exit next roundabout A6 South
- Follow A6 for approx 2 miles
- Turn right before Esso Garage
- Continue for 200 yards
- Site located on the right

- Take 3rd Exit A592
- Follow road straight over roundabout past Cranstons
- Stay left after McDonalds
