Chase Camping at Tackeroo Campsite offers pitches within the beautiful Forestry Comission land of the Cannock Chase AONB.
We are a ‘no frills basic campsite. Open to tents, Campervans and Caravans but you'll need to bring your own toilet and shower.
The site sits along the Follow the Dog trail for mountain bikers and its pitches are spaced between tall pine, evergreen and spruce trees - without electric.
Campers, tourers and trailer tents are all welcome here with access to fresh drinking water.
And the site is conveniently set a mere 10 minutes in the car from Rugeley and easily accessed from the A51.
Ideal for bringing the family to experience some proper nature or for pet and bike-friendly holidays.
The only BBQs allowed on Tackeroo are to be Gas powered. ‘NO charcoal BBQs and definitely ‘NO disposable BBQs. Gas operated fire pits are allowed.

This campsite situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cannock Chase. A large variety of free roaming wildlife including: Red Deer, Fallow Deer, Muntjac, Tawny Owls, Barn Owls, Buzzards, Fox and Rabbits.
Birches Valley Forest Visitor Centre is roughly 1.5 miles from site with an activity centre, small cafe and family nature trail. Fishing and horse riding can be found in the area.
