Description
Pitches: 150
Opening Dates next year: 01/08/2025 to 31/08/2025
This is a pop-up campsite, and it may only be open for limited periods within the opening dates shown.
Located on the edge of the pretty Kent village of Goudhurst, this is the place to stay if you want a beautiful and spacious campsite. The site is also well placed for a number of the top attractions in Kent including Bedgebury Forest for mountain biking, Go Ape and innovative kids play areas, and Bewl Water for the aqua park and water sports.
Bedgebury Camping is set on a working farm and so offers an informal and rustic take on weekend-only camping. The natural charm and acres of space makes it an ideal setting for family gatherings, larger group meet ups, couples and adult only group camping. Pets are permitted too. Campfires are allowed at pitches and one fire pit per group is provided. Amplified music or music from electrical devices is not permitted at camping pitches.
The site is only suitable for tents and campervans (no caravans, motorhomes or tourers). The facilities are free to use and include basic shower cubicles, eco loos within the fields, flushable WCs (male & female), baby changing room, mains standpipes for drinking water, washing up areas and a communal fridge and freezer room.
At the small onsite shop, there is an array of items from the basics, to ice, prosecco and toothbrushes! Campfire goods are also sold - including logs, kindling, and hay bales to sit on for the ultimate rustic experience. Catering outlets sell barista-style coffees, cold refreshments and snacks. On Saturday evenings, there are more substantial meals for sale, and on selected dates there are outdoor performances from local musicians.
The campsite operates as a pop-up enterprise offering weekend camping only over the summer months. All camping pitches are on grass, with access to all pitches requiring off-road driving and walking. The campsite is less than one hours drive from the M25 and sits within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our facilities include: • Flushable toilets & eco loos • Free hot showers • Childrens bathroom & baby change facility • Washing up sinks • Fridges & freezer for communal use • Fire pits for campfires • Array of for-hire items eg cooking grills & family games • Small onsite shop selling essentials • Refreshments from catering outlets • Live music performances on selected evenings only
Nearby Attractions
Bedgebury Forest - one of the South-East's leading mountain biking centres, is within very close proximity. In addition to mountain biking, there are miles of footpaths, 'Go Ape' and fun and innovative play areas for the younger members of the family.
Bewl Water is only a few miles away and is the South-East's largest reservoir. There is lots to do both on and off the water. There is also an on-site restaurant.
The fabulous location means that you will be able to reach several stunning castles and country houses all within 15 minutes by car; these include Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst Castle & Garden and Pashley Manor.

Owner Directions
Finding us http://www.multimap.com/s/sJYxvK8z From Junction 5 on the M25, take the A21 heading towards Hastings. Continue along this road for about 20 miles, passing Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, until you come to the Forstal Farm roundabout. Take the exit signposted to Goudhurst. When you reach the village of Goudhurst, turn right at the duck pond into Balcombes Hill (which then becomes Bedgebury Road) and continue for about 1 mile. Go past Smugley Farm - this is not the entrance to the campsite. ‘Bedgebury Camping' is signposted further up the road.
