Leekworth Caravan & Camping Park is situated on the outskirts of the historic market village of Middleton in Teesdale, and very close to Barnard Castle. The stunning natural beauty of the North Pennines surrounds our site and is set on the banks of the River Tees.
The famous Teesdale Way cuts alongside the site joining onto the Pennine Way and Middleton village centre is just a 10 minute walk away offering a selection of country shops and cafes.
With fantastic facilities on site including 1,000 meters of free fishing on the River Tees, (you must have a rod licence) and the surrounding area offering miles and miles of footpaths to explore the glorious countryside, museums, gardens, attractions and so much more, we are confident that your stay will be one to remember.
We now have an adult only section with limited pitches available, but you have to be quick to book these.
Leekworth Caravan & Camping Park offers both hardstand and grass pitches either with or without electric hook-up to cater for caravans, motorhomes, and tents. We also offer seasonal pitches, pitch and store and winter storage. We have a small onsite shop which incorporates our reception too. Plus we offer modern facilities in our shower and toilet block which also has underfloor heating throughout. We have a strict no noise policy after 10.30pm
Due to the narrow entry lane, arrival is strictly no earlier than 2.30pm. Arrival is between 2.30pm and 7.00pm Sunday to Thursday and 2.30pm 8.00pm Friday and Saturday. Departure is no later than 11am

From Scotch Corner (A1M) Exit off Scotch Corner roundabout marked A66 & continue for approx 10 miles. Turn right marked Barnard Castle & when you reach the traffic lights, turn right over the bridge & continue along the road until you get to a T-junction. Turn left at the T-junction onto Westwick Road & follow the road into Barnard Castle. You will then approach the Market Cross roundabout where you should turn right on the A67 through Barnard Castle. Follow the road through the town to Galgate & take a left turn onto Harmire Road (B6278) marked Middleton In Teesdale. Continue along B6278 and B6282 for approx 9 miles passing over Folly Top & through Eggleston. You will then come into Middleton In Teesdale. Take the 3rd left onto Leekworth Gardens following the brown caravan park signs & after the first speed bump, take your 1st right onto Leekworth Lane & continue down the single track lane for approx 1/2 mile until you reach Leekworth Caravan Park.
From Brough Follow the B6276 for approx 13 miles through Thringarth & Bowbank. At the T-junction turn left onto the B6277 which will take you over a bridge into Middleton In Teesdale. At the next T-junction turn right onto Horsemarket (B6282). As the road bears to the left, take the right hand exit onto Leekworth Gardens following the brown caravan park signs. After the first speed bump, take your 1st right onto Leekworth Lane & continue down the single track lane for approx 1/2 mile until you reach Leekworth Caravan Park.
