There are two pubs in Wainfleet along with shops and various visitor attractions including the historic Magdalen College building, fantastic fish & chip shop and takeaway. Old Chequers Inn is only a short drive away or a thirsty walk … famous for being one of, if not the oldest in the county.
Wainfleet Marshes are only a couple of miles away were the famous Dambusters practiced with the ‘bouncing bomb and from where you can see across ‘The Wash to Hunstanton and the famous nature reverse in Skegness (Gibraltar Point).
There are many historic market towns, battlegrounds and castle ruins around Lincolnshire with the jewel in the crown being the city of Lincoln with its magnificent cathedral.
