Leave A66 follow signs for
Dufton / Long Marton / Knock
At Church T Junction turn left (tight turn), signposted Long Marton, Dufton.
Do not use Back Lane, carry on
past Masons Arms on your left, straight on past no through road sign, play area on your right, follow road left in front of farm, turn right, field straight ahead.
Nearby Attractions
Long Marton is a quiet village four miles north of Appleby-in-Westmorland with a well run country pub serving excellent meals. Alanholme is three miles from the Pennine Way at Dufton and only a slight detour off the National Cycle Route 68. It is also on the route of Lady Anne`s Way with close links to the Settle to Carlisle railway.
A perfect base for exploring Applebys historic market town, in the beautiful Eden Valley, the Pennines and the Lake District, Alanholme is just off the A66 and so great for breaking a journey to/from Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh approximately two and a half hours)
