Walkers will find ample opportunity within a few miles radius of Sandholme Lodge, whilst bird watchers can concentrate on the Humber Estuary Foreshore, Saltmarshe Delph, Spurn Point or a short trip over the magnificent Humber Bridge to the reserve of Barton Clay Pits and the nationally famous Ferriby Sanctuary. Only a short 10 minutes drive away is the North Cave Wetlands reserve where bird watchers come from far and wide to visit the wonderful sights.
You can visit Flamingo Land, near Pickering, for a magical family day out or the ever famous York Minster within the city of York with its abundance of quaint shops and cafes.
